Well done missus! Just off for another nice glass of squash for me. Its the cheap basics one from Sainsbugs and its really nice. I had this for ages thinking it would be rubbish and it tastes nicer than the other brands!

Well done on staying AF tonight!! I think I'm aiming to be AF for the rest of the month fingers crossed and touch wood I can do it!

  • Well done on staying AF tonight!! !

Thanks, but have to confess to having had a large glass of red. It was that that triggered the 'I must have more - NOW!!!!!!!' feeling.

But the urge has definitely gone and even though there's half an hour til offie closing time, I've moved on to the water and am definitely over the alc stage (if there was more in the house I can't say what would happen, would maybe open another bottle or maybe not now that I've kind of rationalised things and moved on from that feeling of "I must get absolutely p*shed").

Thanks for being there. I'm rubbish when I'm alone.

    xx

I'm the same when I have one glass it opens up the floodgates to another one and so on. Well done on just the one, and hanging on in there and letting the craving pass.

Nice to know you're around too as it is v.quiet on here tonight.

Maybe there is a party going on we've not been invited to!

Anyhow I'm off myself in a bit too, to make some Christmas present lists (yes I know it is August!! I'm trying to reduce the cost this year and include some more HM presents despite the looks I'll probably get!)

    Have a nice night!

  • Happy list-making - I admire your planning. Always end up leaving it to the last minute and then spendiing outrageous amounts on last-minute Christmas present to compensate for them lacking the personal touch. This year I'm going to try to be organised and start buying bits and pieces I think people would like as and when I see them.

Thanks again for being around tonight.

    Night night xx

I poured myself a glass of wine earlier, looked at it and then poured it down the sink so 6 days so far for me Miss Piggy.

I am about to go and raid the fridge instead. I might make chips and dip them in houmous and ketchup. That probably sounds disgusting to everyone.:o;)

40SM - thanks for asking about the results. 3 AS levels were good (Maths, English and Art) but had a shock with History. Been to see Deputy Head this morning, and he says it's such a random mark that doesn't fit in with the rest that he recommends us to have it re-marked. So that's what's happening. If she has to re-sit in January it will be a bit of a pain for her to say the least! (and for the rest of the family) You've got all this to look forward to!!! You think it's bad now with squabbling little boys - wait until the GCSEs etc start !!!!

    Have a good day everybody.

No wine for me tonight cos still decorating and then tennis tomorrow am and I'm so bad that I can't have anything to drink the night before!!

    Bi for now

    xx

    Hi PIR .

Big well done on the 3 good results:T:T:T:T. Just hope the remarking turns out favourable... but if not  3 good results is good in my book.

Thanks for reminding me that my life is only going to get worse:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well done on the decorating . Sounds like you are doing a brilliant job.

BTW. When do you start your new job ?

Just a very quick post to send you all my love as I am off on holiday at crack of sparrow fart tomorrow. I am not planning alcohol intake either way on holiday, but will be resolute on my return.

YM, could you please put me down for 20 days AF in September? Thank you very much.

Have a lovely week everyone, vibes of strength for those who need them, and giddy giddy for those who don't.

  • Sorry all.

Very sorry to everyone and sorry for myself too.

I am drunk. Feeling happy if I'm honest, but still drunk.

I couldn't resist this evening. I did try but I didn't try hard enough. Could have telephoned someone to talk about it, but I didn't.

I've drunk a bottle of red (my friend brought 2 with her to ours for dinner) and about a third of a bottle of vodka too overall.

Am still feeling happy I'm afraid. Despite messing up spectacularly on my no drinking. I intend to go back to AA and fess up fully and get my head in a good space again. I need to attend step meetings ASAP I think (AA people will understand that)

Sorry again. I am sure I will have a LOT more to say in the morning.

    Hugs,
    Caz

We all have our little slips Cazz so dont beat yourself up too unduly. Everyone is entitled to a Mulligan ;)

I have done it as have others and some will still do it. It is not the end of the world and at least you have taken steps to address your problem.

    Take care
