Phew you volunteered - I was ALMOST at the thinking about it stage but I am away a bit in Aug and know I would be rubbish.
Well done you
Old habits die hard - out last night after 9pm straight to the corner shop - 2 cans cider (v strong). Drank in about half hour - IDIOT.
Why - ??????? GC and others you are so right - French student put a glass of wine in my hand at dinner 8pm - I almost refused and thought - OK one won't hurt.
No brainer eh - then I thought OK had one need/want more.
Purse will be in the office tonight - without a doubt. Idiot.
No hard time - been tossing and turning all night (when I made it to bed) fell asleep on sofa til 2am. Woken up several times through the night.
This WAS my life and I WONT go back there - stern telling off to self.
My excuse in my head - ? DD birthday am missing kids - to be honest the only excuse I needed was that it was Monday and I wanted more drink after the first drink.
Note to self - don't accept the first drink.
MP you'd think by now I'd have that one sussed eh?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Fay, you are not an idiot. We all know the hold alcohol has over us, or we wouldn't be on this thread! I ALWAYS enjoy that first drink (or used to:rotfl:) for the feeling it gave me. But then I just used to carry on, and on and on. Its fatal. Lots of ((hugs))

I was wondering if I could ask for some moral support and motivation from you all......as a bit of a motivational goal, I've signed up for the Manchester 100km Cycle Ride on September 6th
http://www.bike-events.com/Ride.aspx?id=208
Please be aware this isn't a covert request for sponsorship - I'm not actually doing it for charity, it's just for me (But maybe next year I'll have the begging bowl out).
All I'm asking for is a bit of a push, and a bit of motivation.
Hi GP, you've tempted me out of lurkerdom. I did the London to Southend bike ride the day before yesterday. 60 miles (100km) and I really enjoyed it (apart from the last 5 miles into the wind). Have never cycled anywhere near that far before (daily commute is c.15 miles round trip through the stop-start London traffic) and I did it in 4 and a half hours which included 3 stops for water and bananas. Magic magic bananas. You can do it!
Hi everybody else, doing OK here. Was planning to have a month AF before the bike ride but that went for a burton. Have succeeded in continuing to be moderate in consumption, tho' not many AF days. The curse of the scorer eh?
Take care,
HS...nothing to see here...0 -

Miss P.
As you are now AF you will have so much extra time on your hands that scoring will be a doddle.
Good luck.Living Sober.
Some methods A.A. members have used for not drinking.
