Af for me tonight so that takes me to 7 days

Last night had my promised glass of wine which turned into a bottle and a half - doh

Felt rough this morning and realised why drinking that much is NOT good

will try to be more moderate over the weekend

Well done Jo and everyone else.:A

I didn't drink last night and I actually feel fine today, I usually feel like carp at this point. I think it might be that when I drink I have been mixing my drinks with soda water or fruit juice and it must be working maybe because I am less dehydrated. Anyway, I didn't have a good nights sleep last night even though I was tired but I don't feel too bad on a few hours sleep.:j Well I'm not exactly jumping with joy but you get the idea. I desperately want an ice cream float though. I can't read about anything yummy and food related without wanting it.:rotfl:

I hope everyone has a nice day.

    Morning all!

Can I just say I am NEVER EVER going away for a week! Its just taken me over half an hour to catch up on all you lot!!

I've had a lovely couple of days. Buckingham palace with Mum was great. She really enjoyed her day. And yesterday OH took me and kids to Southsea and over to IOW on hovercraft. Gorgeous sunny weather and lots of sandcastle building. Piglet made us dig a big hole for him and then wanted to bring it home with him!:rotfl:

Meant to be doing Mrs Mop job today but called SIL and put it off to Monday as I think Piglet will be having a lay in today (I hope!)

Jo- don't beat yourself up so much!!! Your counsellor suggested cutting down, not stoping immediately! You're not failing by doing what she says to do! It is hard though, when you know you really do NEED to stop.

Cazza - you are doing brilliantly! Well done on not drinking at the meal. I find situations like that so hard and normally throw the wine back at a right old pace!

Fay - good to see you heading back to home turf! Been quiet on here without you. :rotfl:at bounties comment!!

Samandsheryl - good idea on using "drink" money for something more productive! Friends can be a pain in the proverbial when you say you're not drinking. One of mine (I don't have many:rotfl:) said I'd be "no fun" if I didn't drink. First off I wanted to whack her one as I thought that was rather insulting. But then I just said I don' see how getting plastered, being sick and wasting the whole next day can be classed as fun. Stupid maybe, not fun. People like that I can live without. The important ones are really supportive.

You've all got me thinking about my liver now!! I'm looking down at the area under my ribs and I've always thought the area on the right looks bigger than that on the left. Turning bloody paranoid?! Mind you, it ALL looks far too big:rotfl:...time for a diet methinks. I seem to have a really bad sweet tooth lately which I never normally have.

Well off for a coffee before Piglet awakes.

    Miss P
    xx

Morning all. Not been too good on the AF last few days. Just a quick post. G/F may need to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital today. last 2 days have been very very hard. I'm finding it very hard to cope on my own. No friends/family in this area & her parents are overseas. Very much want her to continue home treatment but hospital is where she thinks she'd be better off (crazy I know). Will sign in soon & hope to be back on track....no excuse at all I know but the stress has been volcanic (yes I know alcohol leaves you more stressed the next day!).

Two bottles of red (first one just to drink) second with meal.
Not great, but then again, could have been a whole lot worse - felt too tired to hit the spirits.

  • Morning All.

Thats now 4 AFD for me please Miss P.

I didn't try a coke float in the end last night, was pretty excited about the whole idea on the way home from work but then once i got home i completely forgot until it was too late to be putting caffeine in my body (Struggle with sleep at the best of times).

Going for a curry with the family tonight and got a bbq tomorrow all day so will be testing times this weekend! Feeling confident though.

Hope everyone is ok this morning

    Have a good day!!!

    Morning all,

I hope all goes well DM :)

Good luck tonight Sam .....curry  (and it's only 9am!!)

YM, glad to have you back, hope you had a good trip?? x

Right, just running in the door and back out again to say morning  I am unhungovered :D Had a horrific nights sleep with plenty of vivid dreams about travelling on trains and leaving luggage behind  but that was par for the course and I know I'll have a week or so of this to deal with till I get a decent nights sleep.

Off to see the counsellor now then got some holiday shopping to do for tomorrow. It's a bit awkward cos we haven't told the kids they are going on holiday yet. They think if the weather's nice we might go to the beach, we might not tell them till we get there to save getting the 'are we there yet, are we there yet, ARE WE THERE YET's all the way there :D

Gotta rush, be back later xx
