Definitely, definitely coke!!! Can we change this to "Have a coke float" for our forum?0 -
Coke it is then. Although i think i may be onto something with the cream soda idea so may try that too. The possibilities are endless....... Although i may draw the line at a cherryade and chocolate ice cream floatAF since 06/02/20100

I wanna cry
How can something so stupid and simple be so hard
Yes its hard but worth.
Keep strong, you have to believe in yourself and remember why you have stopped drinking. Keep the happy thoughts in the front of your mind and ignore the horrible monster who wants you to give up, giving up.
You CAN do this, you just have to believe you can.

Just checking in quickly before bed.
Another AF for me please Miss P. I think that only makes 3, but I'm okay with that because I know I'm cutting down :j
Jo~hope you are okay (((hugs)))
MOB~it's good support you are giving (((hugs)))
I'm just finished watching Coronation Street. I don't think I've ever watched it in my life. More of an Eastenders girl and not so much that after the kids were born.
But.......Gray O'Brien (Tony) got me hooked last week. He is gorgeous! I definitely have 'my type' and he is IT. Blimey. Much like Robert Downey Jr, dark eyes, dark hair, mysterious. Mind you Robert Downey Jr isn't aging well considering all the abuse he has done to his body. I remember following his drug and alcohol problems years ago and thinking what a shame. But he's sure turned his life around. Iron Man... need I say more
I'm old enough that I shouldn't be thinking about good looking men on the tellyBut what the heck! :rotfl:
Off to bed because I'm shattered. Mr FH not home until next Thursday so may have to have some dreams about Mr Gray O' Brien :rotfl:
Much love XNeed to start again0 -
Just thought I would report back in - all quiet on here tonight by the looks of things....
I did drive and I didn't drink a drop of booze. So this is my 4th consecutive AFD. I am pretty chuffed with myself! :j
Most at our table had at least 1 glass of wine and/or beer. I even poured a couple of glasses out for other people, but none for me. Hoorah!
I ate a LOT though, to fill the void of not drinking. Gorgeous food YUM YUM, but I am sooooo stuffed. I will end up as big as a house at this rate!
I think I have MSG poisoning
So goodnight everyone, hope you have happy dreams. :A
"See" you all tomorrow.
Hugs,
Caz

Hi all- just checking in, its taken me ages to read through-hello new people, keep it up everyone.
Jo-very best of luck, I know its a struggle and so hard-took me 7 detox's to finally stay sober this long, its just that devil on your shoulder saying 'one won't hurt...' thats so hard to beat, especially when you've done a few days and feel better and have convinced yourself you can drink moderately because you've done 72 hours.......I spent 20 yrs having those kind of conversations with myself...perhaps I should have been a saleswomen as I had no problem convincing myself that drinking again was fine and that there was nothing to worry about..........
Cazza-what a brilliant start to the challenge, well done you, you must be so proud.
Keep it up everyone, and for those getting side pains/depression/stomach pains/panic attacks...GET TO YOUR DOCTORS TOMORROW AND GET YOURSELVES CHECKED OUT, GP's don't bat an eyelid when you say you think drink may be the cause, they see heavy drinkers everyday and a good GP will do there best to help.
Catch you all tommorow
PS. Budgie (hugs) if you need them sweetie.0 -
Well done Jo and Cazza - good job!!!
Off to bed now, sleep well the team.
