When I have stopped drinking for any length of time, I feel terrible for the first two weeks, achy and tired and I can't sleep properly so I can understand what people mean.
I am determined to have a AF day today. I just hope my DH doesn't bring any alcohol home with him today because I'm not feeling that strong!
I am going to take kudzu and milk thistle in a minute. I should be taking it everyday really but I keep forgetting.:doh:HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

reading letter vibes from me too. I will be textable until I am in the middle of the north sea when I get a patchy signal - on boat from 4pm (ciabatta and roast chicken sandwiches made yum yum with lots of picnic bits too
) - so boating it from 4pm then out signal between 8-10ish till we get nearer to the isles when the signal returneth.
Will be home by about 11.30 so definately an AFD for me - although I have started drinking at 11.30 befoe now - but NOT tonight.
The 'why do I feel like this' - bit I remember well from stopping completely before, I felt like I had been hit by a bus! There was alot of chat on here about it all, hang in there it does get better
MOBS - hope the peedie one gets better soon xTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

:hello: Hi everyone, just called in to catch up. Stayed over with old friend last night and while we had lots of wine we were restrained (for us). I took plenty of water with it and so no hangover etc I'm pleased with that because it means that my cutting-down is beginning to work on drinking days too.
But I'm sure I can still do mayhem and would love to join in!
Jo good luck with your application and I'm told orange is a very trendy colour for bathrooms. DD2 just redecorated hers and while walls not orange she has bought all new towels etc (Next Home I think).
So many new friends on here, it's great and keep trying all of you (new and old).
Oh and just to add to my jumbly post - I'm Welsh too and I find waxing is best for eyebrows!

mumofboys - I hope your son is feeling better soon. Important to keep his temperature down so keep on with the paracetamol.
I had bad flu a couple of weeks ago and felt really poorly. I rang the doctor and he said whether it was Swine Flu or not that his advice was the same and that is to drink plenty of fluids, take paracetamol and rest. This is what your son needs to do really. I wouldn't have taken tamiflu even if he'd offered it me. Its not a wonder cure. At worst it can make you feel worse for a while and at best it just shortens your flu by a day. Not worth it if you ask me.
Well done for being AF free! I don't know if Im going to manage it tonight. I haven't drunk much this week and have had 2 AF days and Im getting to the point where Im going to be so ready for a drink. Shopping came today and so we have wine in the house and Ive also got Malibu. I might see if OH has a drink later and only have one if he does.0 -
Well I've put off coming on here today until now. I feel so guilty and ashamed!! I DIDNT stop at the co-op on the way home last night and just driving past it, felt really pleased with myself. However, OH is off sick at the moment (bad back) and when I got home, he had been to Tesco. Lol....the rest is history. I just feel so annoyed with myself that I couldnt even do the one day! If it's in the house, I just dont seem to be able to resist at all at the moment.....and that goes for most alcohol (apart from Vodka).
I'm away soon for the weekend with SIL and know that there is now way I will be refraining then. I feel ashamed but I'm going to have to try again and set Monday as my target to start again.....
Sorry....0 -

God that sounds good - drool! Larva (sp???!!!) bread with that? DD just asked me what food they have in Wales you don't get here so.......maybe we'll stick to welsh cakes
as to the "mayhem meet-up" - toooooooo tempting. But yet again, I can resist anything but......

My god that really does sound good!!!
And you know what, when I read that comment, I got a fleeting feeling of I wish I had bubbly in the fridge, cos it's okay to drink if you are having a nice meal and drinking out in the open with someone else, that's just normal, rightI think maybe that's what Bis got a fleeting feeling of (am I right Bis?).
Then I remembered, I'm an alcoholic, and I can'tdate? time?location?:D:D:D:beer: :undecided
Jo - stick at it tonight.......
