    I am raiding the bag of my kids' Easter Eggs that are still uneaten, and sits in the corner of my office - I'll share?

    Gin = depressant
    Chocolate = satisfaction (or something):rolleyes:

    Mmmmmmm I do lurve the choklit :EasterBun
    But I also love not craving alcohol, I wish someone would make this feeling go away :(

    Sorry, so down at the moment.....trying to focus on the choklit.

    I gotta go down to Mr T's when OH gets back from work as we have no food in the house, then I have no choice but to drive past 3, yes 3 off licences :eek:

    Been working like a trojan today doing housework, dancing with the kids to Michael Jackson, very hot and bothered.

    Very hot and bothered = nice cold beer.

    Usually anyway :confused:

    Pah....

    My DH didn't bring any wine home for me so I guess this will be my third day AF.:rolleyes: I keep looking at the clock because the shop near me closes at 6 o'clock so if I last until then I know I won't drink that day.

    I have marked the red cross on my calender for today so it is final.:rotfl:

    When I read the post about Malibu, I thought mmm and I haven't drunk that since I was about ahem, 13 years old. I used to mix it with milk, how utterly revolting.:eek::D

    I wanna cry :(

    How can something so stupid and simple be so hard :confused:

    It is by no means easy. It maybe simple, but easy it is not.
    Alcohol has played such a big part in your life for years. Just taking away the alcohol is no good. Then you have a huge hole to fill. Thus people relapse and drink again unless they find something else to go in that hole.

    As alcoholics there is a two fold obsession with alcohol.
    There is the physical - when you have one drink, you don't want to stop drinking. In fact, most alcoholics only stop drinking when they run out of drink or money, or the bar shuts, or they get thrown out, or they fall asleep/pass out.
    There is the mental obsession too - you think abut drinking (or not drinking) and when drinking you count drinks, you count how many others are having, you always make sure you have booze in the house if poss, you don't want to go to events/parties if there is not going to be alcohol there, etc

    This is part of alcoholism. It's a disease. Don't be hard on yourself for having it. Just take action to stop drinking
  • Uurgghhh, I am still feeling awful.

    My neck aches like crazy. Odd really, as that is one of the first places I get that "nice" relaxed/buzzy feeling after 2 or so drinks. This definitely must be my alcoholic self torturing and tricking me into having a drink......... AHHHHH! :eek:

    Leaving in an hour for a fabbo chinese meal with friends and family, for OH's birthday (which is tomorrow). We get 2 bottles of free wine just for being there, because there are 9 of us eating. This is the temptation day from HELL!

    I am still determined to drive, so I will have to ignore the wine. I will have to just eat more dim sum........ no wine........more prawn crackers.......no wine..........more spare ribs.....no wine...... more fried rice.....:confused:

    'Tis a hard day today. I could crack one open right now. I am seriously craving a drink. Bah.

    Will report back later!
