Tangochick, thank you for posting at such a dreadful time. My father died of drink, and it is so true what you say that however much you love them they have to need and want to change themselves. No one else can do it for them. My thoughts are with you at this very sad time.
There's a lot of jokes and laughter on this thread, which is great and cheers people up in bad times. But your post reminds us of the reason we are here, to get ourselves and our families free from the risk of devastation that alcohol can cause.0 -
Tangochick.....You must be devastated, but thanks for posting.
I hope your post makes a few people think before they drink tonight.
Thank you and Take Care of You

Hi everyone, :hello:
Just a very quick post but I wanted to say to our: Darling Jo, well done last night on telling your OH, you really did so well especially as he was not in a good mood. But you did it and I am so proud of you :A. Had you not of done, then maybe you would of kept putting off the inevitable for a while longer. I know you said he did not say very much but I am sure he is relieved that you have now been honest. It is so hard thinking what might be going on but then doubting if you are correct. For myself personally I would always like to know the truth. So well done Angel and you have made the first big step, move forwards from now and we are all here to gently shove you along if neededBig hugs and well done. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I also just wanted to say to: Tango Chick thankyou for your post which I am sure is going to touch everyone who reads it. It is so very sad and such a painful time for you and your Dear Children, we can only try and support you now, so please do keep posting because I am sure it will help to say things that you perhaps are not able to say to anyone else. Thinking of you and your family. :A Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Cazza I just wanted to send you a very big hug and to say well done on deciding to go to a meeting. It is truly a huge step forward for you and I wish you well sweetheart. There will be I am sure just people the same as yourself who are trying to get help and move on with their lives. We have a broad range of members on here but what we all have in common is that we want to change and also help each other. :A Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
69 Chick hi sweetheart and no I don't have swine flu but I do have a water infection so I am on antibiotics. Hope all is well with you and I hope you have a lovely weekend. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
To be honest I really feel like drinking today but I can't due to the tablets. Things just seem to be going from bad to worse, I am really struggling at the moment and I am not coping so well. Been in tears much of today. Not much of a day off. Sorry to moan and there are so many people so much worse off, but I can't really open upto anyone else.
Sorry I don't usually moan, (I hope) but today is a really bad day.
Take care everyone and have a good weekend.
God Bless

Just spoke to OH, asked him what he wants for dinner and he said he'll get an indian take away.....hopefully this is not the last supper  maybe he just wants me to taste a proper indian rather than the ones I make :rotfl:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Hi everybody
Tangochick, thank you for posting. What has happened to your family reaffirms my reasons for quitting completely. I want to grow old and see my son become a man. I want to grow old with my wife. If I had carried on drinking, as i was just a short time ago, i would be doing neither of those things. Maybe it would be my wife posting a similar story.
Thank you once again for writing, it must have been a terribly difficult thing to do.
