    Morning all:hello:

Well the not buying alcohol went down the pan the last night ( in more ways than one !)

DH came back from the shops with some beers:eek::eek:. He had one, so I had one. Drank the first one , struggled to drink it .... but then I prefer wine. Opened the second , drank a few mouthfuls and then thought I cannot drink this so gave it my husband . I then came over all peculiar and was actually sick ... after 1.5 beers . Why did I drink last night? My body obviously did not want to but my mind was saying otherwise:o .

However I am now on 13 units so still within by limit of 14 units per week (just):T:T
So Miss P , put me down for 13 units and 2 AFD please

Darling Jo, please post and let us know how you got on.:A:A

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning all.

My first - unhungover - thought this morning was of Jo. I hope you are alright.

Cazza - I think that takes real guts.

So no wine last night, and feeling pretty chipper this morning. Friday and Saturday nights will be my real test though.

Sorry for the short post, but have to run and get play doh out!

  • Good luck Cazza.

Each meeting is different and hopefully you will find one that suits you.

I go to one meeting a week and travel 20 miles for it. I do know that some folks travel from even further away for this particular meeting.

    Hi Mob,

Well done on last night. Just take each day as it comes .... sometimes thinking that you are not going to drink ALL weekend makes it seem undoable (sp?) so you cave in on a Friday night.

Shalll we make a pact and say that neither of us are going to drink this
    Friday night.?

Have a good day with your boys. My 3 are upstairs being quiet at the moment:T ... not sure how long that will last:rolleyes:.

    Catch you later.

Had a really stressful day at work and that would normally mean lager n wine so maybe my body is just learning to cope in a different way. Mmmmm, old Allen Carr did say these things would happen but as long as I keep saying to myself that i'm free I will be ok.

Sheesh, really feeling it now just typing the words!

I'm free and all it takes, is to believe that.

Wow this post is really powerful! I felt the relief you feel in your post :T:T:T it made me go all goose bumpy :D

Well done, keep it up :)

    Morning all

Not been out of bed long :o I did wake up at 8.30am but decided to not bother getting up, just laid there contemplating and dozing, blummin luverly :D

Well, I told him. I wasn't going to because when I went to pick him up from the station and I saw him walking down the road towards the car he looked in a really bad mood. He got in the car and was in a foul mood, something had happened at work. He's very rarely angry, he sometimes gets quiet or moody but never angry and he was angry . Then when we got in his brother rang, there's something going on between the brother and the dad and they both ring OH as the middleman cos they won't speak to each other. OH said to BIL to leave it for today cos he wasn't in the mood for anymore grief today, he's had his fill

After a couple of hours, and a top notch chicken madras with extra chillies and garlic ;), he had calmed down and so I just blurted it out :undecided I said I had something to tell him and that I've been drinking recently and I felt I needed to get help again to stop because I can't do it by myself. He said he had suspected it for a few weeks because I seemed different. He wasn't angry or upset, just a bit worried. I'm thinking the full impact hasn't hit yet  I told him about the counselling and he didn't really say anything about that. Then everything just went back to normal  he switched BB on and that was the last that was said. He's not a man of many words :rotfl:

I've not seen him this morning as he left for work at 9am and I was a lazy cow  so we'll have to see what happens tonight.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement by the way
