I would have said Hollywood Studios first, it's fairly compact and there are a lot of sit down rides and shows. Althought EPCOT may be the least 'exiting', there is a lot of walking involved.Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.0 -
Some folks recommend Epcot first, so that it's not such a disappointment after seeing the other, better parks first:p
Does the $75 voucher have to be spent on the day? OR could you use it to go out to dinner, letting you have a bit of a rest in the afternoon?
you cant spend the birthday gift card on food or beverages
Seems "merchandise" clothes toys pencil sharpensersare the way to go.
I have spent quite a olot of time looking at this on te dibb and other spaces, seems theres no way round it.
lucky for me i read on here that you get free entry so we havent bought any tixz in advance, and will get in free on my birthday  not sure which one though im thinking MK. then to try and do epcot & hollywood studios in the same day? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
hi my daughter received her free disney birthday gift card last week while we were on holiday in orlando last week. We had to show her ticker and passport to the town hall staff in MK. They give 79 dollars on a card, which is to be spent on anything from ornaments to tshirts etc and candy but not on food in the parks.
The free park ticket is only for the birthday person not the entire family if thats any help to anyone. Or you can have a fast pass for the park for 6 rides for up to 6 people.BSC member 137

We are flying the day before my OH's birthday and so want to take advantage of the $75.00 dollar voucher or getting in free to Disney, but ideally need to choose the smallest of the parks to enable us to get over the travelling from the day before.
Any suggestions? We need an easy (ish) day!
We did AK on our first day (Sunday)- arrived about 10 and had finished by about 5 (after having gone on EE 3 times). You could try and get there earlier as you will probably be on uk time and so will wake up early!! Also as there is no evening show at AK I would say this is the best to do if you are still feeling tired.
Other possibility (if you have enough days) is to do the 1.5 day touring plan for MK. So spend 1/2 day in MK on your first day - you will find this a fairly relaxing plan providing the queues aren't too long.
Epcot is a long day if you do everything. Our family really enjoyed the 1st half of the park but were quite bored by the World Show Case sections (apart from the character sightings!)
Hope this helps0 -

Do you have to pay for the fast pass then?0 -

no the fast pass were free, she just liked my daughters enthusiasm for being there on her birthday, and her politeness. I felt all proud for a small moment!!!!
Just a quick question, while out in florida we were approach by ticket touts asking to buy our tickets that had a few days left on them. Has anyone else had this happen, or delt with this???
Trying to recover from returning home on saturday, jet lag sucks.... back to work tomorrow so i need help fast.
Only had to wait about 5 to 10 mins per ride as there was no one waiting,we were told by staff that the q's were some of the lowest they have seen, so september must be a great time to go.BSC member 137

Be aware that the free entry is only valid for one park and if you want to upgrade it to a "hopper" ticket you would have to pay any extra.

Me too, even if it's busiest on the "Busy Days" Guide.
The holiday hasn't started properly until I've walked to the right under the station and got my first glimpse of the castle
However others (more sensible than me and disney_cjd) may just prefer to go to the park that is predicted to be least busy for that day.

just back from orlando and it was HOT HOT HOT!!! i have to say that i didn;t reckonmuch to the food out there, it was expensive too!!!
A tip for magic kingdom, they have water fountains everywhere so keep an empty drinks bottle and fill upat one of these. At 3 dollars nearly for a bottle of water it adds up!! Also, i noticed at mk that people had taken packed lunches. if i'd known you could do this i would have as the food in the parks is just shocking and sooooo expensive!!
If your on i drive i highly reccomend red lobster resteraunt. i got a lobster tail cooked to my liking for 12 dollars and it was lush!!!
universal, don't wear denim as you WILL get wet!! and the car race resteraunt at universal was really good food too, nascar or something it;s called. the nachos are amazing!! if i ever went again i'd stay in a villa over a hotel any day. you'd just have so much more flexibility.
oh, and for the person that said they would be going shopping cos they have a non swimmer so couldn't take them to the water park. Don't worry about it at aquatica. they have free lifejackets all over the park my dd is 5 and went on all but one ride. she loved it and she is only little so not a strong swimmer!!!It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt
