Can anyone confirm the cost of parking at parks other than Disney. I know Disney charge $12.00 to park, but do Sea World, Busch Gardens, Universal and Islands of Adventure? I've had a look on The Dibb and cannot seem to find any info.
I've got 12 days in Florida, and I plan to do AK, HS, Epcot, MK, Universal, IA, Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Cape Canaveral and a waterpark.
Is there anything else that is a must do?
many thanks,
Judy
Judy, you are going to need some energy to do that lot!! You are going to need a rest, do some shopping, sample the delights of where you are staying. Please make sure you are going to enjoy the parks, not DO the parks because they are there!
I have no idea of your age, but you are certainly planning on running around the parks.
You can do Universal and IOA in one day. Even two Disney parks in one daybut you are pushing it! You WILL go again, so do yourself an itinerary, plan on some rest, eating out, seeing the fireworks!
Ye Gods Walmart can take half a day!! Go and enjoy!!
Oh and your question. Universal Disney and Seaworld are all about the same price for parking. The Water parks are [were[ free as was Busch gardens. But we always used the free transport to Busch.
hope that helps a little.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
Just wanted to add to the other posts Judy that parking is free at Kennedy. I may have missed it as I'm posting on my netbook and have trouble reading (doh!) but don't think anyone's mentioned that yet. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? virgin use the older ( not had recent refurb ) planes on the orlando route, as they think the plane will be full of families anyway, so why bother
the service we had last year was shocking, we have decided after 4 trips with virgin, never again, last year both directions they were terrible0 -
Good grief! That is terrible!
On the subject Virgin using the old TCD planes, I am certain the "new" TCD (ie Virgin) only operate on VA planes. The old TCD/XL planes weren't bought by Virgin, only the "name" and marketing lists etc I believe.
100 % correct
they just purchased the name and mailing lists0 -
seaworld parking was $10 or $12 last year0

just got an email from flyglobespan today saying as from next year they're flying from Edinburgh and Cardiff to Florida. Very reasonable prices and to think some people on here bad mouthed them last year warning us all not to use them:j0

I have been a couple of times to Florida but in 1991 and 1994. This was pre kids. I don't think we will be able to afford to go again in the next 5 years so I really want to make the most of it. I'm currently on a health drive and have 3 months to get fit! If it's a struggle, I think I will hire an electric wheelchair in Florida! My OH will take one of our children to a waterpark as my youngest is a non swimmer, so I will probably go shopping or something. I think the first day we will be fit for nothing after all the travelling, so it doesnt leave us much time.
I can't believe how expensive the tickets are now. When I went in 1991, it was about £15.00 to get in. Saying that, we did get $2.00 to the pound. A motel was $20.00. We spent three weeks the first time we went and drove about 2000 miles. We did the Keys, Miami, Clearwater, a day trip to the Bahamas, helicopter rides and all of the parks. There have been a few new ones since we last went.
I cant wait!0 -
What would be the best Disney park to visit on our first day? We are flying the day before my OH's birthday and so want to take advantage of the $75.00 dollar voucher or getting in free to Disney, but ideally need to choose the smallest of the parks to enable us to get over the travelling from the day before.
Any suggestions? We need an easy (ish) day!0 -
Some folks recommend Epcot first, so that it's not such a disappointment after seeing the other, better parks first:p
Does the $75 voucher have to be spent on the day? OR could you use it to go out to dinner, letting you have a bit of a rest in the afternoon?Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Not too sure to be honest. It says merchandise or a free days entrance. I was thinking of buying toys for the kids as we are buying the Ultimate tickets.0
