Just a little update on our plans as we only have a scary 6 months to go now, I am getting a little impatient on waiting for the timeshare exchanges to come through for next year (will be after Xmas) and I want to make some firm plans, so tonight have been looking at staying 8 days here: http://www.thepointorlando.com/index.cfm costs around £650 for a 1 bedroom apartment for the 9 days which we think is good. It is just a few minutes from Orlando and you can get the i-ride and Lynx but we will also have a car anyhow.

For the last 6 days we are looking at going into a hotel along the Boardwalk. We can get the Dolphin Hotel for £820 - 5 nights with 1 night free - in standard room. We have thought about upgrading to a firework room but it would really not be worth it, all we do is sleep there when we are 'doing' Disney stuff, and then a taxi back to the airport on the last day and checking in there, not worrying about the DTD check in and going off to the parks early and getting a day out of it. Plus we could always try and blag an upgrade when we get there, LOL!! I've never done that though, have I got enough cheek.....!!

I need to get excited about this holiday again, I just feel a bit flat because it has been sooooo long since we booked it. We can book our meals in a few days time too. Crikey!!

I'm a bit flat too as we got back from doing the transatlantic on the Magic a week or so ago - to a flooded house. I now need another trip even though I've just got back from that one.

I don't know the Pointe Orlando but it looks nice, modern and well appointed. We have friends from round here who will only stay at the Swan or Dolphin and they have kids a similar age to yours. Personally I find them a bit convention-ish, but they love them and have been back about 6 times now. Their location cannot be beaten though.

what a DxDDP MMM- sorry, brain not working tonight.

What do you like eating? Where are you going? Look for eateries that are at the parks you are going to that day as it is less traipsing around.

I was not all that impressed with Crystal Palace or Chef Mickeys tbh. I loved the food in Olivia's onsite and it was pretty quiet in there - others say they do not like the food but it was gorgeous and we all enjoyed it. I had pork, I can still taste it now. :)

Meanwhile - BM changes her mind once again.

Do we stay at Dolphin/Swan - or do we stay in the Royal Guest Rooms at PORR or a Pirate room at the CBR?

Decisions, decisions. Someone was complaining that they had to wait an hour for the bus at CBR some days - not sure we could cope with that?

And had decided on The Point (not sure if it is new) but have now seen the Nickelodeon Suites while browsing tonight. The kids would absolutely love it there.

And thought 3 days CRB - 8 days in an apartment (when we will have a car) - 3 days PORR. Then we get the Magical Express both ways to and from the airport too that way.

AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH.......................................... my head is going to explode. And I have a cold.

I need a holiday :) You are right jonny, the time will come around before we know it. Sadly.

Oh no, I hope everything got sorted, if ther eis one way to get rid of the holiday spirit, I guess you found it.

Yes, it is the location which is the pull tbh, but my head has been turned byt the Royal Guest Rooms.

This will be our last time for a while so we have to make sure we do everything we need - we want to drive from LV, stopping along the way and ending in California in 2013 and go to Disney there, and then DD will be in secondary so we'll be limited to certain dates. *sigh* Just want to do everything but am worried about trying to cram too much in.
