Thanks MMM, do you have an AP? Apparently you can log in to the passholder section and get a price so I wondered if an APH could do this for me.

We are not in DVC - I've considered it quite a lot but I do not think it''ll be worth it for us in all fairness.

I've been reading and reading and there seem to be no ticket benefits (thought it might work like DLP where you can get a discount on gate tickets if you have an AP. Although you can save 30% if you book accomodation and Dining plan package so the price of this interests me to see if it is worthwhile.

Does not seem to be a huge amount of other benefits to be honest as we'll not drive there. Blackout dates are quite a lot as well and see to cross a lot of our school holidays so would have to get the more expensive AP option.
  • Yes I have an AP hun...tell me what you need and I will log in and see..am going to be out for a few hours (kids parties lol) but pm me here or on the dibb and I will check for you.

I thought you were DVC members lol!

There is no blackout dates on the AP hun..365 from date of issue?

Please please please can I seek some re-assurance.

Fly on Thursday and have put together planner on DIBB (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/planner.php?a=view&p=16475) - if link doesn't work it is First Time in Florida! departing on 20th October. I have only really tried to put together a basic planner as I want to be flexible. Just starting to panic that I haven't planned enough!

Was a little surprised at how early some of the parks close but then I guess we are kind of going out of season. I am going to stop typing as my mind is racing and I am not sure I would make much sense!

We found that when the parks closed early in the evening we would either go to Walmart/Target to shop or we ust took the kids to the pool. Some hotels have a dine in movie where they inflate a big screen and show a film by the pool. Take the opportunity to have some chill out time.

ETA: It says I am not able to view the planner as it is yours. Go to the forum, find the thread (I looked but could not find it) click on it and post that link and I'll have a look. xx

Ok - here is link to DIBB, http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/planner_view.php?perpage=200&sort=2&order=2&pagenumber=3&page=5. As I said mine is the First Time in Florida! Is only basic but I did really only want a guide, having said that I may need more detail!

Day 1 - Arrive at Orlando International Airport on Virgin VS27 at 3:35pm Maybe think about going shopping at Walmart this night, there is one up Turkey Lake Road I believe and there is a MacDonalds in there too. Dump your luggage in your room and go out. Unpack when they go to sleep. (I never unpack, waste of holiday time, LOL) Try and keep the kids awake til 8pm US time at least because if they sleep early, they will wake too early. I found this the best way to do it, if they have things to look at, they won't sleep.

You really will not need 2 days at Universal tbh, we were done in about 6 hours - and we went on stuff twice. There are some things I would say only to do if you have the time - Twister experience and Disaster. Actually, was not impressed with much to be honest.

Water parks - do these on a Saturday Sunday if you can because the water parks will be quiet and the Theme Parks busy with AP who come for the weekend.

Is there a reason you are going to Epcot on the last day? The World Showcase does not open until 11am and there is not a huge amount to do there before then. Nothing that would make me think 'this in my last day in Disney' We usually go to MK or HS as there is something for everyone and usually some shows to see.

I think you should allow more time for the MK as there is quite a lot there - usually takes us 3 days so I'd definately allow another.

1 day for Epcot, 1 1/2 days HS and AK each.

1 day for IOA. 1/2 day for Universal.

Waterparks - what do you want from your waterpark? I see you are doing all 4 waterparks - as your time is limited I would suggest you do just 2 - or maybe half days for them all (at the weekends though). I would allow for the weather to change too, it is not always hot in October and there were several days that there was no way we was going out to the pool. It was freezing!! LOL. Have a 'back up plan' for these days.

You have not allowed any time for shopping either - do you not want to shop? Maybe the planner does not say all of this.

Just one more thing (sorry), Saturday will be the busiest day of the week at MK so you might find it easier to switch your MK night for Weds 26th when it will be quieter and do a half day at W&W as it will be quiet then and you'll get the rides in. If you can get a swift exit in after Wishes you will see the Water Pagent go past on the lake outside the entrance, then go back in and wait to see Electrical Parade by the entrance. Weds and Sat have the same parades and Fireworks.

Sorry, I do not want to ruin your plans but you did ask. :o Hope you do not mind now. :o

And rather bizarrely, you will be going to BG exactly one year after we did - on the Tuesday. Strange. I cannot believe that a year ago I was going on holiday next week. It feels like only a few months ago.

Enjoy your holiday, I hope I did not upset you too much by suggesting other things.
