  • Has anyone flown Virgin from Manchester recently? Our flight leaves the UK at 13:40 and I'm just wondering how soon we will get fed once on the plane and will it be a full meal or just snack.

Sorry if this sounds a weird question but as a good MSE I don't want to pay for a meal for the kids in the airport before the flight only to find they won't eat the "free meal" on the plane. Equally I don't want to not feed them and get 3 hours of "I'm starving" comments from them.
Only 19 more sleeps to go:T

9 more sleeps to go now - can anyone help with my question please:confused:
  • Hi me my wife and my mum and dad are going to Orlando in 7 weeks and we have our 14 day flexi tickets sorted (£139 for the 5 park one) but we would like to go to disney but only to animal kingdom in the morning and magic kingdom in the evening.

I know single day tickets cant be bought online but does anyone have an idea if this is possible and how much it would cost? If not the 2 parks in the same day the 2 parks a day after each other would be an option as well

    thanks for any help

If your flight leaves at 1.40pm would you not be having lunch before you board the aircraft anyway?! I guess it depends what time you have breakfast ;)

I know I wouldn't be able to last from breakfast to meal on plane time on that departure time - I'd probably have a coffee & croissant about 12.30 just to tide me over.

Last time we flew Virgin we got fed twice. Going on the departure time I would say that you'll get a snack lunch (sandwich maybe) and dinner later. You'll probably get the first one sometime during the first film, and the "evening meal" a few hours later when you're closer to Florida as it will be dinner time there. No doubt it will be the usual chicken or beef lol.

    Hi folks,

Just looking for some advice. I'm pricing up a week in Florida for September and currently, with the use of a £25 discount voucher, I'm getting the following. £785 (£392.50 p.p) with Thomson, staying at the Econo Lodge Inn Suite, direct return fightls from LHR, in flight-meals and care hire.

I think this is a good price but would just like clarification on that from the experts. Thanks.

Yeah, thats the all in-price - 20kg luggage, flight meals, the lot. The only thing I'm not 100% sure on is whether car insurance is included.

I just looked at this and it came up as slightly more but may have different date. I would certainly clarify the car hire as it ay be the basic insurance and TBH you want it to cover 3rd party etc.

Sometimes it is cheaper to hire a car from other firms than from the agents themselves. As although they give you the car for free the insurance is step.

Does look like a great price to me. Although I am no expert :D:D

I just looked at Thomson and couldn't see any info anywhere on whether insurance was included with the car hire... even went through the booking process (until it asked for payment of course lol). Definitely worth checking whether car insurance is included - I agree with Mumofjusttwo - it can be cheaper to buy the car hire package from someone else rather than pay the insurance charges!

If you go to one of the American car hire websites (eg, dollar.com not co.uk) they have prices ex-insurance with the insurances as optional extras so you can see how much they charge:eek:

Still, even if it's flight and accommodation it still seems to be a flippin' good price!
