hi all!!
hoping to take my 8 year old son to florida next year (fingers crossed)
have had quick look through this thread and found lots of interesting and usefull tips - thanks
i will look at this thread in more detail when have bit more time but just wondering if anyone can help with below thanks
- single parent 1 child - anyone know any where can book where DONT have to pay for 2 adults rather than 1 adult and 1 child
- child has disabilty on high care dla and low mobilty - anyone know if any of the theme parks do disabled queue systems or carers free/lower price entry etc
- i dont drive but been looking at hotel on lake buena vista which has shuttle system (understand that this means would probably be am and evening transport and therefore at park all day this is ok)just wondering if lake buena vista is ok place to stay without car (dont want to stay in disney as want to do other parks ie universal and cost implications)
- probably going to book through Thomas Cook as going to apply for a little help with costs from a charity and they give more if you book through them (ie £300 rather than £100) and every little helps!! BUT am i best to book theme passes through them or do them with some one else b4 go or when there?? looking at disney pass AND orlando flexi pass
- finally (sorry!) has anyone stayed in comfort inn lake buena vista hotel?? reviews say fine although basic - which dont maind would rather have extra money to spend whilst ther as not planning to spend all day in room!!
thanks everyone xx sorry if this questions have already been asked before or if i asked something i shouldnt have done - newbie xx0 -

The theme parks have good access for those with disabilities. They vary from park to park, but there are links to their information here:

Lake Buena Vista is a lovely location, very close to Disney and safe to walk around. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, but they are a bit spread out, so you would need to be able to walk (with wheelchair). Thankfully the whole area is flat and the pavements (sorry sidewalks) are wide, so its easy to get around.
The Comfort Inn is a relatively well situated, basic hotel. Half of the hotel faces the freeway (I-4), the other faces a much quieter road and the parking lot. I haven't stayed there, but know others have, so hopefully someone will be able to answer you on the specifics. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? You dont have to be rude to be a mug.
A mug is a mug.
There is a way of expressing an opion and calling a person a mug is not really moving the thread forward.
A lot of our American friend, double the amount of tax charged and give that as a tip.
in Disney restaurants now they are showing on the bill for your food what an 18 or 20 percent tip would be

There is a way of checking online if they the registered owners of the villa. I read about it on www.thedibb.co.uk I will see if I can find the link.
There is SO much info available in Florida about people/ You can check the appriasiers site mention and also check the tax status to make sure its all paid up! You can also check the licence they hold is current etc.
The Dibb will give you lots of help but a lot of it is incorrect and the site is not up to date and has lots of out of date info so be carefulSelf confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

thanks- where do i buy the 1 or 2 day passes? and how much?
also if i get a 2 day pass do they have have to be used one day after the other or can you for example go on monday then use the second day ticket on the friday?
thanks
Best thing to do is go to https://www.touringplans.com and click on the least expensive ticket checker and bobs your uncle.
Try not to buy on the gate. If you have AAA or another discount that would help.
Please do not buy from eBay
Disney just popped priced up! Thats nice of themSelf confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

Hi Bubble098
There is loads and loads of info on www.disboards.com and they should be able to help you if you cant find the info you want already on there.
Anyone going to Florida it's a must to checkout, saves money and answers loads of questions.

Oh god I really hope someone can give us a helping hand with our search for flights.
We have booked a 2 week stay at all star music from 3rd-17th may:j and I am now looking for flights.
I'm getting rather worried that maybe I've left it too late for a decent price.
On average what do you guys think is a reasonable price to pay for a direct flight from manchester to orlando
P.S How do you find one with a reasonable price tag0 -
Gemma - have you tried expedia yet? I dont think it's too late as there's nearly a year left.0
