But the thing that really annoyed me was that I had to pay £60 (!)

Thing is, some people use a credit card for things like Cashback. I use my Tesco CC as I get the points.
Talking of which the post reminded me that I'll get charged if I use my CC. I've got to pay the balance in 4 weeks and 5 days.... That makes it seem ever closer!! 14 weeks on Saturday. YIPPEE!!!!
Note to self - MUST get passports sorted today!!0 -
HI, Has anyone had any bad experience using park-tickets.com ?
They seem to be one of the most reasonable to me0 -

That's true - but I wanted to use my credit card for 2 reasons:
1. Get my Tesco clubcard points
2. As a security if Virgin Atlantic should go bust. I know it is probably not likely, but as the economy is right now nothing is impossible and the trip is 11 months away - who knows what can happen by then? So I wanted to make sure I stood a better chance to get my 4000 pounds back should it happen. My understanding is that if I pay with Debit card, my protection for this would be even less. (think there is no guarantee with Credit Card possibly, but I have read other stories about people paying with Debit card, the company goes bust and had they paid with Credit card they would have gotten the money back.
I still think it is outrageous that I should have to pay for the privilege of paying...:(0 -

I should first say that I often pay for flights by my (Tesco) credit card just like you.
However I do think it's fair enough that they pass the charges on, as these are levied by the CC companies. As an example, if you paid them by debit card it would probably only cost them a few pence to process the payment. By CC, they have to pay a % of the total transaction rather than a set fee.
I think it's fair enough they target those that pay by CC (me being one of them!) rather than a wholesale price rise across the board to recover these lost margins.0 -
Has anyone been on the 'Trainer for a Day' package with Discovery Cove? I've done the Dolphin Swim before but thought we might upgrade to this one. It costs £100 more so wondered if anyone else had been on it. Just think it would be wonderful experience for the children.0

Just booked to go back to Orlando on the 7th October. Previous years have always stayed in villas or townhouses with full kichens. This year because we have only our youngest with us we are staying at the CoCo Key Hotel on Int Drive. How will be keep drinks and bits cool as the room does not have a fridge? Any ideas would be appreciated.0

Most hotels in the US have ice machines. You can either put the ice in the drinks or buy a cheap cool box from Wal Mart (there is a Wal Mart Supercenter on Turkey Lake Road) and fill it with ice to keep stuff cool. Something like this:

£50 Love2Shop Voucher, Product of the Year Hamper,
100ml DKNY Golden Delicious Perfume, Blackberry 9320

You might be able to rent a fridge, give them a call and ask them otherwise you may have to go buy a cheap mini fridge, especially if you have a little one.
Thats a cool hotel!!0 -

I got this for my wife when we were over as a group, she absolutely loved it as you get to see "behind the scene's" and more time with the dolphins etc. Only down side for her was that she was on her own for a good proportion of the day, I say on her own I mean not with the group so as you are doing it as a family you will enjoy it.
Some people don't like DC but we have been the last two times we have been to Orlando as it makes the holiday, compete chill out with food and drinks on tap!! O and no crowds either, enjoy!!0
