Does anyone know where can I get Kids Ugg Australia boots, please? We want to go to either Premium Outlets or Florida Mall. Thanks.

I wondered if Craig was thinking of SSR to DTD?

I am sure he's not, as I know we've bantered in the past about whether walking between SSR & the Port Orleans is do-able or not ;)

I agree wholeheartedly with the OKW size comparison - and the layout of the one bedroom at OKW compared with SSR is excellent as well as massively bigger! There isn't a huge difference in the studio size of SSR vs OKW however - the studio at OKW has a bit of a strange layout too. I quite like it, but some don't.

Vivatifosi, am I right in saying that when Disney first built OKW they didn't envision many wanting the studios, but that the vast majority would want the 1 beds and above?

I think Journeys should carry them. I know there is one in Festival Bay and I think Florida Mall. There may be other locations too - in fact I'd be surprised if not!

just booked florida for feb next year. is it worth me waiting for the next version of the unofficial guides to disney and orlando, 2011, or do I go with the current version (2010)?

I currently have the 2008 version (used for a holiday in feb 2009)

When we first bought into OKW in 1995 the minimum points purchase was much higher than at present and most guests were American. Given that most Americans won't use their points to stay in a studio for almost four weeks a year like we do, then I guess so.

Back then, Disney marketed the one bed/studio combo as a "two bed with lock out" in which you could invite members of the family to stay with you but have the privacy of your own front door. I don't know whether they still do it, or whether they have quietly dropped it, given how many more points Disney would bag marketing the two separately. Studios by themselves were very much marketed then as the place you'd go when you had a few points left over. Having said that, I love the studio. Its still pretty big and bigger than more or less all Disney Hotel rooms (not sure about GF, but all the others). It also means I get to spend twice as long in the world, and as there's only two of us so we're not packed in like sardines, what's not to love about that?

I think I'd wait - if I remember correctly many get released in Sept/Oct, so we are nearly there, PLUS the versions out now won't cover Harry Potter.

That is really interesting - thank you.

I totally agree with the studio being perfectly big enough for two, and being able to stay for twice as long than in a one bed. The OKW studio worked well for us as with 2 children we actually prefer the two separate beds combo rather than the bed and sofabed you find elsehere. We also love the ambience of OKW (and the small amount of points it costs per night!).
