Just checked with the two agents I know and they can both get this deal. But it maybe that they only knew about it after I mentioned it!
Thing it to look around and then contact your representatives and see what they can do.
Cheers
I think any agent will be able to get the deal because I can go to Thomas Cook and book it there but it has to be with Disney - if you see what I mean, you cannot get these in the Virgin brochure for example.
Surely any agent would be making some money from the sale? Why would they do it for nothing, it doesn't make any sense.0 -

we used holiday extras at leeds last time we flew, and you get B&B and 14 days parking from £79 upwards depending on hotel choice. I ran your dates and the link is above.
Thanks for that, looks like a great deal. I may go with these0 -

A-ha yes the proper agents, those that are Disney accredited get paid by Disney. You pay them diddly squart for their help.
Complete Orlando are one (and are in the UK) they also sponsor the shows but I have never used them. I have used Mouse Fan Travel https://www.mousefantravel.com and they are great. And they got me better rates than I could get as a Florida resident.
But as always you have to look around and see whats about for your dates and times

Looking for a bit of advice. Currently have 2 weeks at Port Orleans Riverside booked direct with Disney for end of September this year.
Just got an email / letter from them saying I can have a complimetary upgrade to a Deluxe Villa resort for duration of my stay - to Saratoga Springs or Old Key West.
Is this an offer worth taking? We have the quick dining plan included, do these resorts have a suitable places to use this? Don't want to spend money upgrading the dining plan as this is not included as part of the upgrade.
Thanks.0 -

never been to them myself but have you tried looking on the disney website for details of facilities at both resorts?
also have a look on trip advisor for reviews of both places.0 -

I think you make an excellent point here actually. Why don't you ask them to upgrade you to the Dining Plan rather than the QSDP?
The choices are very limited at SSR & OKW for quick dining options. There is a little area at OKW which sells a few burgers / hotdogs. SSR is much better but I find the food gets pretty old there after a few days as the range is nowhere near as good at one of the food courts at the Mods or values.
So - if you are prepared to use your QS credits at DTD (which is very handy if you're staying at SSR or OKW actually) or in the parks, you can make this work. But if you are definite that you want to eat in your resort often I am not sure OKW or SSR are a great choice for the QSDP.
Ordinarily though that would be a good upgrade0 -

They probably wont offer you teh dinning plan but worth a try. Many do not book Saratogo as they think its DVC only. Its like five mins walk from POR so i would take it and enjoy it unless they give you dining at POR.
Dont do OKW in my opinion, stick to SSRSelf confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

A fantastic thread with lots of good advice.... maybe too much good advice, my head is spinning! We're going to Orlando in Aug and I'm after some advice for my holiday. I'm going with DH and DS (14) and DS (8). We've booked the flights (yay!) and I'm looking to book the hotel this weekend. We were going to book into Hilton Grand Vacations Villas on the recommendation of a colleague as I like the idea of having fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer etc... A 1 bed villa is approx £800. However been looking around and have seen the Saratoga Springs offer £1300 for studio or £1755 for 1 bed villa with the free dining plan.
And this is where all my questions start.... What seems the best value? Is the Dining Plan worth it? If you're on the Dining Plan, what's the restaurant availablility like when you get there? The Hilton is next to an Outlet Village - is it easy to get to Shopping Outlets from SS? Excluding Dining Plan, what other benefits do you get staying at a Disney resort? What else should I be taking into consideration?
This might be a one-off Orlando holiday for us, so I'm keen to get it right. I understand you need to book park tickets to get free dining but we were planning to do water parks and Disney parks anyway so was already planning to buy 14 day ultimate tkt.
Finally (for now....) if I did go with SS, who am I best to book with - to get Quidco cashback etc...
Thanks for reading so far!0 -

Personally, I would go for OKW, but that's because that's our home resort with my parents time share and I absolutely love the place. Although, we've never had a dining plan when we've been as we mostly self cater and go out for the odd meal, so as others have said, it may not be the best one to go for with regards to dining. Just depends on what you want. It's got easy access to Downtown Disney if there are places there that you can eat. If you do go for OKW, I would always try and stay near the Turtle Pond area as the pool there is normally a lot quieter than the main pool and there is a bus stop near by.0
