  • With Virgin and clubcard you have to book a package i.e accomodation.. you can however book a Florida Flydrive with cosmos using clubcard vouchers...

its important to know that if using clubcard vouchers towards your holiday you will not qualify for any discounts ie FVC, online discounted price etc... etc..

Don't you have to book a full package?

Not what they told me when I called and was in the middle of booking, I was given the prices and then I asked if I could use the vouchers to go towards the holiday (definately Fly drive with no accomodation) and they said yes but I would not get the discounts. Maybe depends on who you speak to.

I was informed by Virgin that I wasn't allowed to use my Tesco vouchers unless booked a FULL holiday (ie hotel etc) I only have £450 but 'every little helps'.

    Thanks

If you only have £450 I would save them as if you book online they are giving up to 10% off at the moment (banner on home page) and also 4% quidco. So you would save around £400 for booking online and £80 quidco cashback on a £4,200 VH holiday and you'd still have your Tesco Vouchers. Use them an a hotel for staying overnight at Gatwick or something.

I am not sure what discount voucher for VA you mean, I've not used one.
  • Is your £450 cc the total once converted or is it £1800 once converted?
If its the former may well not be worthwhile using them as if you get 10% online booking discount and go via a cashback site the discounts will eclipse £450..

I recently booked my hols for August and got online disc of £782 and cashback of £382!

Could be that I could have just got lucky and been able to use them, the guy I was speaking to did not know how everything worked as he told me I could not have the HP breakfast but I set him right - but it was not worth it as I got a good discount anyway.

Saving them for Butlins again instead.

You will get the same price to pay with vouchers but you will not get the online discount IYSWIM. Then call them to book it.

How does QUIDCO work - i've registered for it - clicked on the Virgin Holidays link and it opened up a new tab - do i just book the holiday as normal then? How do i then get my money back??

Have only got £112.50 tesco vouchers - converted comes to £450 so was thinking that it's cheaper to use the online discount tis under £4k on the website!

thanks for the harry potter link blue_monkey, but i'm not sure it's much cheaper - I can't find decent cheap flights anyway so seems sensible to book with VA, and hotel for 14nights isn't much more!

  • yes book the hol as normal.. would suggest clearing cookies, then go back to Quidco and click through to VH..

the cashback will track into your Quidco account then when they are paid they pay you.
