  • We used Tesco/Virgin vouchers for our holiday, 3 weeks on International Drive for 4 people only ended up paying £500 cash on top of the vouchers.

I think you can only have £700 pp in vouchers now IIRC.

  • We have been 16 times now and rarely hire a car. Nothing to do with money or convenience we just simply do not want to drive whilst on holiday.

I dont find not having a car inconvenient in anyway, nor do i find that we miss out on anything through not having one.

This topic raises its ugly head every two or three pages.
There is no answer, its all in the head of the poster!! Choice is yours and no amount of advice is going to make a blind bit of difference.:money:

Anyway....to change the subject...can anyone help me with this one:

There's a ride in one of the parks and I cannot remember for the life of me where and what it was. It's a big room with benches which rocks slightly to make it look as though the room is moving with it eventually making it look as though you are going upside down. I can't even remember the theme but that's partly down to the fact we were in Germany at Europa park which had the same ride there!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Alton Towers has one called Hex. Great ride!

I know neither Universal or Island of Adventure have one so it could be in one of the disney parks.

:embarasse After spending ages last night trying to fnd out what this was, I've come to the conclusion that perhaps the rides were both in Germany as we had gone to Phantasialand while we were there as well.

Could it be Hex The Legend Of The Towers at Alton Towers?

Here is a link and it says about you feeling like you are going upside down.

There is 'The haunting' at Drayton Manor theme park (Tamworth) and also a 'haunted swing' at blackpool beach (I think this has been renamed 'impossible').

Sorry everyone, both rides were definitely in Germany! I've had a chance to look properly now at the park websites. I flipping well spent ages looking for it on the Disney/Universal websites last night and then had a brainwave before I went to work this morning:D. Looking at the Alton Towers site, Hex is the same thing.
