Orlando/Disneyworld Thread (Part 3)

I have been to the Mardi Gras in San Francisco and in London and both times had an absolutely fantastic time - as an adult.
It is most certainly not for children to see greased up blokes wearing suspenders and a wig with their tongue down another blokes throat and the stench of poppers in the air.
Actually, when we were there it was Tinkerbelle Wings and Bride & Groom Micky ears!
We had three young kids with us, and a minority were yelling obcenities/ behaving badly, so we decided to leave. We went to City Hall on Main Street and they were perfectly understanding about refunding the ticket.
My main point was, we were caught by surprise and although we got that refund we wasted half a days time. I just wanted to make sure people going early June knew the score.0 -
hi, getting ready for our first visit to Orlando, and im about to buy theme park tickets, now, initially i was all geared up to buy the "orlando flex ticket" and e a 5 day "go orlando card", (to cover kennedy space centre, gatorland, arabian nights etc) with going to magic kingdom one day, just paying at the gate,
we are going from 30.03 and home on 11.04, giving us 10 full days there, maybe with the 6 park flexi ticket a 3 day "go orlando card" would be more economical, though im now thinking with 2 of the party of 5 not being "water mad", (though they would love dolphin shows etc) should i just buy a 2 park bonus ticket, and pay at the gate for seaworld and / or aquatica,
while i understand we will never see it all in 10 days, we want to see as much as possible, whilst having a day shopping too,
can anyone who has been there before advise me, thanks a million0 -
sorry if this has been asked before, I am considering booking Florida for next Feb, It will be our first time to Florida and I am not sure where to stay.
I have narrowed it down to either onsite at Disney without car or Villa with car.
I would love to know peoples experiences of both of these.
My main concern would be if we stay in Disney with no car how feasible is it to get to universal, sea world and shopping malls on buses/ taxis ? would a car work out cheaper. Children are young so I think most of our days will be in Disney.
Any help would be great :beer:0 -

Hey, we're going to Orlando for two weeks in March and would like to do the following parks; Magic Kingdon, Epcot, Typhoon Lagoon, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Blizard Beach and Busch Gardens, Seaworld, Universal Studios and possibly Kennedy Space Centre.
Are we right in thinking we're best getting the Disney Ultimate ticket and the Orlando Flexi ticket? So far we've seen prices for both at £383. Does anyone know if we could get this cheaper? Or will it be cheaper to buy out there?
Thanks0 -
Hi Kyte,
We have prices from travelrepublic.co.uk for adult tickets £218 and child tickets £188 for disney's 14 day ultimate, and orlando flexi plus tickets it is £153 adults and £143 child.
The prices you've got seem quite high.. the above are the cheapest ones we've found so far.
Hope this helps,
sweet x0 -

I am not water mad but really enjoyed going to Aquatica. We also went to discovery cove which was amazing but thats a different type of place.
Sea world is a great park not just water stuff, got a couple of great coasters. Manta is amazing! The shows are good and its great to be able to feed the dolphins and rays(extra charge)JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -

Because theres only one child (and as shes almost 12, shes an "adult" and not a massive Disney fan, more into crocs, rollercoasters that go at 100 MPH and have you hanging upside down etc,
as i said, we want to see as much as possible, like a little bit of everything,
anyone any suggestions for tickets please? i am now thinking of the Univerals 2 park pass and i 5 day go orlando card maybe0 -
