My library only has the 2006 edition... (with money saving in mind - mine, obviously!) would you care to share that information? :shhh:0 -
We are looking at staying in a villa next year in orlando. Seems to be a huge choice. First thing seems to be to work out what area to look in. What areas would people suggest and also which areas should we avoid?
thanks
we go to orlando twice a year and always have a villa. if your able to drive i would reccomend staying on the Hw 192 as its close to everything, shops themeparks malls etc. the hw 27 is ok too but you will have to drive a bit further. fuel is a lot cheaper than over here thouigh. the only problem with the 27 is if you plan on going clubbing like we have done a couple of times, the taxi fare can be quite expensive. in addition, not sure how many of you are going but we have just hired a 3 bed villa (sleeps 8) for 3 weeks for £900. it is on the 27 though. you will find however that in the main it is cheaper to stay on the 27. thats my experience anyway.
hope this helps0 -
I like the brits guide but the unofficial guide has lots more info - you also get access to an online busy days guide when you buy the unofficial guide which is mre updated than the brits guide busy days. I think Sept is a great time to go, much quieter than August and most of the earlier summer months.
When I'm planning days at parks with disney I always look for the days that will have extra magic hours for people staying there and avoid those then I look at the busy days guide.0 -

Last two times out there we've stayed on the US27, either side of the I4... both excellent locations IMO... easy access to the I4 and 1920 -
I am planning a jaunt to Florida (not just Orlando) next year. Could anyone advise me on (approximately) how much a 1 day adult ticket is to Disney's Magic Kingdom, ie Me and the GF stroll up to the ticket booth at the gate and say 2 adults please? The website only refers to passes that last many days.
Muchas Gracias.....0 -

your looking at roughly 72 dollars each0 -
i would say that it depends how far up the 27 you are but i do agree that you can be near to the i4 and 192
Definitely - sorry, I didnt make that clear but did imply that when I said about easy access to the I4
The first time, we were at Legacy Park - about 10 mins north of the I4 but a few mins from the 192. The second time was Aylesbury Lane, 5 mins drive south of the I4...0 -

hope this helpsPretty sure will be hiring a car to get around. Imagine we will be going to the parks many of the days, say 8 or 9 out of 14 days, but not just the disney parks. Waterparks, seaworld, universal etc. as well
thanks
We've stayed on the 192 & 27 and have to say we prefer the 192 area. Having said that we tend not to do the parks so much these days. Being on the 192 is convenient for where we like to go - ie Celebration, LBV, the shopping malls etc
IMHO wherever you chose to rent a villa a car makes life much easier0 -
