  • Here is a good one Floridaholidayplanner.com
I used them and they planned the full 2 weeks for me told me where to get tickets etc and saved me all the hassle.
Recommend them all the way. They are having trouble with the website but just email them and they will help you out. Tell them Steve from Brighton sent you and im sure they will chuckle
  • Do you think BlueSkies0087 owes or works for Floridaholidayplanner? 1 post and he has just joined to tell us this?:o

Two things: Do UK DVDs work in American DVD players and also we have four hours at New York airport on the way out before we get our connection. Will we be able to leave the terminal? Thanks for any info.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

Just been reading the dibb website and heard these tickets mentioned

    Universal 2-Park Bonus Ticket – New for 2009! £79 adults & £72 children
Experience the best of Universal Orlando Resort with unlimited admission to both Universal Studios Florida® and Universal’s Islands of Adventure® for up to 14 consecutive days. Your ticket costs little more than 2 single day entry tickets and you visit the parks as many times as you like over a two week period and also includes all-club access to the live entertainment at Universal CityWalk®.
Ticket is valid for up to fourteen (14) consecutive days including the first day any theme park or CityWalk portion of the ticket is used. The Universal CityWalk® component of a ticket is not valid for separately ticketed concerts and special events. Some venues require ages 21 or older for admission. Valid photo ID required. Does not include admission to Universal Cineplex 20, an AMC Theatre or the Blue Man Group show. Subject to availability.

When we go we'll be getting the 10 day park + 10 fun days tickets. We might get the above as well;)

Flights will be cheaper in advance, keep looking at the providers for your route and grab the cheapest when the tickets become available.

BA normally have a sale in JAnuary - going in November you should find a reasonable price too much trouble.

I hadn't thought about that TBH, American DVD players will be a different region to ours, so quite possibly our DVDs wont work, depending on the age of the player your trying to use.

Luckily I have a Tesco value DVD player that's not much bigger than the DVDs themselves, I think I'll pop that in the suitcase, just in case.

(Although I'm hoping the kids will be worn out by the evening and want to go to bed, I'm not going to hold my breath though :rotfl:)

Hi Fiver29, were you planning to plug in once you get to the US? If so the voltage will be different and it won't play.

I thought UK products worked fine in the US, just needed a worldwide adaptor? When my sister went to live over there she took her entire house contents over there and only replaced them slowly

Some things work in the US, but slowly, others have dual voltage switches (such as some hairdryers), but unless your DVD has a dual voltage converter it is unlikely to play. There are some things you can cope with working slowly, but not a DVD player. You can get DVDs in Orlando that are dual region, but they tend to be more expensive than here, as here you would pick them up to watch imported DVDs before they are released, in the States there is less demand, mostly from the Brits who live there watching stuff sent from the UK.
