I am going for the first time to florida on the 17th september - 1st October

i have just paid for flights, cheapest i could find and flying with virgin total cost included credit card charge £1,418 (is that reasonable?) 2 adults, 7 year old and 1 year old flying economy

have booked a villa which is in a great location for 14 nights at a cost of £750 , very nice villa to

took travel insurance for the family of 4 for £29 , 2 adults, 7 year old and 1 year old

now i need to hire a car, which needs to be picked up from the orlando mco airport and dropped off back there before our flight back home

which is the best site to use and which company , budget keeps popping up when i search

have not sorted any visas out yet or park tickets, still reading to be done

Sounds like a good price for the flights going by what we paid last year and this year although now you've got to look forward to being skint after paying for the park tickets;)
My colleague uses carhire3000 who I think we'll go with this year as they seem pretty reasonable.
You'll have a ball there. Last year was our first time and we went with a 13 year old so didn't appreciate all Disney had to offer but with the ages of your kids, it will be fantastic. We had such a great time, we managed to persuade my husband to go again:)

I've booked for July and would value some opinions on water parks. We did Wet'n'Wild last time but were a bit disappointed. Any views on Blizzard Beach vs Typhoon Lagoon ?

I reckon Blizzard Beach is better for the big thrill rides and Typhoon Lagoon is a bit better for a more relaxing day. Both great parks but I probably just prefer Typhoon Lagoon.

Both are just over the road from Downtown Disney too which is great for an afternoon movie or an evening stroll.

Blizzard Beach is better for young kids, Typhoon Lagoon for teens.

I'm not sure I would say that Blizzard Beach is over the road...it's definitely a car journey away;)

Yes, sorry, I was actually refering to Typhoon Lagoon which is right across the road from the first (or last!) part of Downtown Disney (where house of blues, cinema etc is).

I like AllStatesCarHire.com; they are pretty good. Although you can do it without a car I really fell you get a 100x better trip with the car; it's such a spread out area and there is so much to see.

On another note; if anyone wants a totally free PDF ebook Orlando Guide check out **************, there is no catch!!! there is a guide on the website which you can download and print for absolutely nowt! ;)
