thanks for that, do you or anyone else know about car insurance over there. All the sites i have looked at seem to offer a car between 250-300 for 2 weeks, i thought that would include insurance etc

but speaking to my dad he reckons i need to buy insurance on top as i would only be covered 3rd party

can anyone shed any light on this please

Every car hire agent in the UK hiring cars for the USA comes with all the insurance you will need.

Anyone stayed at Saratoga Springs recently.. wanting to book for August but wondering if it is worth staying onsite as it is making a huge difference to the costings...

just thought I assume you have not paid for a seat for the one year old... if so have you requested a skycot... they only have limited availability but it will put you in the seats with more legroom

i paid for a seat but my child will be 16 months when we got. will he be to big for one of them?

edit: i persumed i paid for 4 seats but apparently, i haven't and my youngest son has not got a seat. they told me it is common practice that when booking 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant, that the infant doesn't get a seat.

    is that true

I had a 14 month old in one and he ok, just. 16 month may be ok, but priority will be given to those children younger.

caronthedrive quoted me 674 dollars which is £417

other places seem to be around the 300 mark, are they normally more expensive, i thought they were on a par with prices with other companies

they were for me... slightly more than carhire3000 but the service was worth the difference for me..

    we hired the dodge nitro.

with regards the plane seat... just think how much more expensive it would have been for another seat lol..

Are you taking your own car seats with you... they are very dear to hire.. if you are not taking your own you can buy from Walmart etc very cheap.

regarding car seat, undecided at the moment

how much are they at a wall mart, as if it is cheaper to buy one there i will, although i would need something from the airport anyway, so buying may not be an option

    thanks

Don't think you'll be able to do that. I'm pretty sure Disney tickets are linked to fingerprints now.

We had a two days left on our tickets which we sold to a ticket dealing shop on our way to the airport. We had Disney tickets, Seaworld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica as well as a free return trip to Kennedy Space Centre. We were quite impressed to get $120 for them all.

I've stayed there twice. Is there anything specific you want to know?

The question of onsite vs offsite is a larger one than whether to stay at SSR or not. There are pros and cons for both, and only you can know whether it is worth it ;)

    Hi Karen,

just trying to decide which way to jump have looked at a villa at calaby parc (which is where we have stayed last 2 years) but then looked at the villas at ssr to give the kiddies the full on disney experience.

Its quite a price difference (obviously get the free disney dining staying at ssr) but its working out at an additional £3.5k for a 2 bed villa at ssr as oppose to a 4 bed private villa.

decisions decisions have never stayed at a disney resort before..
