Actually, perhaps if they make you do a full set of tests for tow people it could come to £440, and they can be done with your GP. Usually apart from an AMH test which they won't do on NHS.

Don't forget to get a smear done!

T2D thank you, if I have to stump up it'll be worth it in the end and I won't care how much it costs, but hopefully they'll be happy with the nhs tests we've already had.

I guess it's a case of whilst on the surface you'd think they'd do whatever we wanted to get our money, they have a reputation to protect so don't want to do treatment without knowing it's chances of success

My last smear was last summer :)

So you are now less stressed - so I'm sure you will be one of those people who say 'As soon as I stopped thinking about it, it happened!'

    :D
Oh I haven't stopped thinking about it, we're still "actively ttc". But having a back up plan that we're currently investigating gives me a feeling of more control, I guess...? I still wish that we won't need it but I don't have the same hope/belief that it'll all work out :o

Am I dreaming in thinking you were getting Nhs clomid soon? ( <-- why does this guy look so sad about asking a question?)

Home from EC, feet up on the sofa for the rest of the day (week??) now. Got 15 eggs, which really surprised me as I'd convinced myself there wouldn't be any. They're a bit concerned about ohss now though so will be drinking a LOT of water over the next few days.

So now we're just waiting for tomorrow's phone call to find out if any fertilise...fingers crossed everyone!!

BigZ I was promised Clomid but instead got a referral for fs. Thanks for reminding me, need to chase as it's been a month now lol we're taking a break and going private in July, a plan to keep me relaxed and not stressing about the fs appointment, although I'm excited to see the post everyday lol

    That's great news tea! X x

Not water, energy drinks like lucozade.
Believe me, I had nasty OHSS, and water can make it worse.
If you feel sick, call them up. The fluids can build up and squash your stomach.

    2) I've looked at the hewitt centre price list (it was on that x

Cant help on the private treatment Qs, as we aren't there yet, but I have been going to the Hewitt Centre through NHS and its very good. Professional, good environment, though they are very busy. I had my AHM test there on the NHS as well as usual blood tests, and tube tests etc etc. (currently on clomid so wont be going back til July)
