QQ, hello, hope you are okay
Primmer, hugs, hope you're okay as well
Tea-hope your hormones are less crazy today
The nurse I need to speak to is off until Thursday, so I'll phone back then. I've still not had another AF since the BFN and bleed after ICSI, so am CD33ish now, feels very strange as I was a regular 26/28 day cycle-obviously I'm not going crazy thinking that all the BFNs were wrong and AF wasn't really AF, yep, on reflection, maybe I am crazy0 -
Hello to one and all, crazy hormones or not!
I'm still not pg, let me make that plain from the outset.
So, I have now lost 25 pounds since Jan 3. Looking hot - smoking, if I may say so myself. Virtually no-one else has commented, although I have attracted the odd gentlemanly gaze. I haven't lost it altogether, oh no.
So when the bloke I work with beckoned me over today, I was ready to modestly accept his compliments, only to hear him say ' Am I right in thinking you are expecting again?' I was too shocked to say anything apart from mutter 'not likely, I'm too bloody old', but in retrospect, I should have knocked his teeth out.
WTAF..this sort of thing only happens to me!!!0 -
Hugs chickpea The cheek!!!! He probably has subliminally noticed something is different but can't quite put his finger on what.. Silly man.
tealover rant away. You're in the right place
runner congrats on the job!
AFM.. Stressed. We got a rescue dog in Dec, & she's a real sweetie... Except that our existing dog doesn't like her, & shows no sign of ever liking her. They fight at least twice a week & I'm so tired of it. And it doesn't do them any good either. We've got a social worker visit at the end of April (first one in adoption process) & it won't look good if they're fighting, or if we've had to re-home the rescue. So frustrating. I thought the dogs would have sorted it out by now, & our original dog isn't happy. And of course I'm thinking what if DD doesn't like any adopted child we may end up having? I know it's different but I'm tired & emotional (not a euphemism for being drunk!).. My turn to rant
When people show you who they are, believe them the first time0 -
Big hugs onestep. I know nothing about dogs (or social workers, come to think of it!) but I hope you find a solution that works for you all soon.
Another scan and blood test this morning and still not ready for harvesting! Had a couple of 18mm+ follies on right ovary (but not enough for them to do EC yet) but still nothing of note on the left. Why isn't it responding???
They were hoping to do EC on friday (which would have fitted in great with work) but now it will be monday at the earliest. Am thinking of trying to get next week off as the stress of fitting appts around work is doing my head in. It's at least a 3hr round trip each time. Not sure where I stand as a temp though.
So all fingers crossed for monday please ladies. Guess Easter Monday is a good egg day!0 -
Hello Ladies,
I post mostly on the other ttc thread but have been lurking here for a while now.
My FS has perscribed me 1 round of clomid to see how I respond to it but he has essentially handed us over to the IVF clinic. I have my assessment at the end of May.
I was wondering if any of you lovely ladies have had raised white blood cells come up as a fertility problem. When I first went to my GP last year he ran several tests, one of which was a full blood count. The full blood count showed raised white blood cells and I have been reading online that this can stop me concieving or cause early miscarriages. My FS has never mentioned it even tho he has all my notes. Has anyone else had a problem with this?0 -
Sorry firefly, no experience of that one. I'm sure someone will be along soon who can help though.
I've just booked next week off work, in the hope that EC will be on Monday. My plan is that even if it isn't mon, it will have to be sometime next week (won't it? surely?!) The most stressful part so far has been trying to fit appts around work, as I hate feeling like I'm letting people down or taking advantage. I'd rather be at home and not getting paid for a couple of days, as that way I won't feel guilty lol.
Will be nice to be able to relax after EC. Feeling quite bloated and uncomfortable now so a few days chilling out at home sounds lovely.
Big Easter hugs to you all xx.0 -

My quick google suggested that, whilst it can indeed cause problems conceiving, this is easily overcome with antibiotics.
Is anyone doing further tests to find why your white blood cell count is raised?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Sorry firefly, I don't know anything about that.
Tea-good luck with the EC, knowing that you have the time off sorted takes away a huge part of the stress0 -

Thank you for your answers.
I have to repeat the blood test for a third time (at 3 month intervals) to see if it is an infection/bug that clears up on its own before I get any other tests.
Google says that there is a fertility doctor in London that treats with low dose steroids.
All other tests show that my OH SA is good, my tubes are clear, I am ovulating but have irregular cycles. I have my IVF assessment at the end of May, do you think that this is something they will treat? I am worried that our only IVF chance will not work because my immune system attacks an embryo that tries to implant.0
