    Good luck TeaLover!

DH & I have talked loads this week.. & we've decided to find out more about adopting. Eeeeeek!!!! :D:D nervous, excited.. And cautious too. There have been so many tears along the way, I'm nervous about setting ourselves up for more. No pain, no gain, right?!

Definitely think I made the right decision skipping clomid this cycle. :) thanks for "talking it through" with me, so to speak. Dh is unwell atm too so I'm not convinced he'll be performing much this cycle, which would've made me very grumpy if I've have taken the clomid, cos I'd've felt I'd suffered for no reason, but without it I can give him more of a free pass and be the supportive wifey ;)

How did talking with dh go, mrsh?

    Good luck tea!

    Onestep, interesting development! :T

I've actually been mulling over fostering, again, today. We've always talked about doing it regardless, and I think we've had a year, almost, to grieve Mil and such, and nothing's likely to happen quickly with fostering or ttc, so why not try and get the ball rolling/see what's involved at least? I kind of feel like me and dh have so much to give & it's just going to waste with all this waiting around for kids to magically pop into our lives...so why not offer to those that need it now? Does that make sense? :o

In any case, I'm quite excited about it :)

Zippy, I think fostering is a lovely idea. I could never do it as I'm not very good at dealing with change but I admire those who can. The lady I sold my last pushchair to was a foster mum - she had a couple of teenagers and had taken on identical twin boys when they were 8 days old. Apparently their mum was 15 and not in a position to care for them which quite upset me. I have never seen such beautiful babies and I say that having had 2 of my own!

I registered for updates about fosterig in my area about 12 months ago and i must get sent begging letters atleast once every 2 weeks which is a bit naff but I suppose they are deaperate.

Glad you're excited about it though, enthusiasm is worth its weight in gold. I hope it all works out for you :)

    Evening ladies,

Just dropping in to say that I have been officially given the all clear today! All cancer was removed with clear margins. :) Follow up in 6 weeks, then scans again in July, and then regular checks for years to come, but the recurrance rate is very low (4%) which is great.

The surgeon has said not to get pregnant for 6 months from the operation, which is great I think - I had thought they may say a year. So in 5 months or so we will get the little frozen embryos out, and still a chance to get pregnant this year!

What a stressful few months it has been!! But now time to get well, and I do think I have been lucky in getting such good treatment so quickly. Onwards and upwards!

    That's fantastic new T2D :D

Six months seems like an ideal time off from ttc to me- not too long so that it feels like forever but long enough that you and DH have time to relax after your recent nightmare and enjoy each other for a little while with no extra pressure :)
