I'm little miss Patience these days for some reason. I'd take a break, and maybe try to really step away from TTC for a while, but I know that isn't really possible!

On the flip side, getting it done will move things along. IVF wasn't too bad (I say this as it drifts from my memory!) and if it has to be, then it has to be. I would expect things would move in a normal slow NHS manner even after Clomid, so maybe keep things going.

Sorry, that wasn't much help was it! Question is - can you cope with another month, or do you need a (mental or physical) break?

Hi bz... I'm torn. Physically because you've had it tough id say give it a break... But then I would worry that maybe continuously taking clomid month after month might have more of a positive affect? (No evidence to support this mind!)

    It's a tough one!

I'm feeling less depressed but now have a bad headache for two days running. Cbfm has me on my 11th day of high on day 17. Usually get peaks between 14-16. Temps all over the place but fertility friends sort of thinks (dotty crosshairs) I oved on 14... I hope so because I only have one more chance to bd this afternoon before I go away ! Hoping my cbfm has been messed up by clomid.

WTTN - my FS said that ov tests are less accurate when on Clomid & just to 'be active' on days 12 to 14 regardless of what the tests say.

Ob it's no harm to BD more than this too!

The woman I share an office with (there's only two of us, so no escape) has spent all morning wittering on about people she knows who are unexpectedly pregnant, and how IVF is a complete waste of time.

She has no idea about me so it's just bad luck rather than mean, but omg I want her to shut up.

T2d&Wtdn, whether I take clomid this cycle or next makes no odds to how long it'll be til I see fs, or how long til ivf, so I wouldn't be delaying anything either way. I can cope with it either way - I feel like it's doing nothing useful anyway, and the cumulative side effects seem to be causing more harm than good (the more pain I'm in the more likely my tubes are to be spasming and not letting the right stuff through). Ok the other hand, I could just do this last one and get it over with...?

Wtdn, I had the same problem with clomid and cbfm. Clomid raises your estrogen, cbfm wants to see a dip in your estrogen as the lh rises - if that doesn't happen (which it doesn't due to clomid) it still says high instead of peak. Hope that helps explain the source of frustration. ;) they reckon you ov within 5-10 days from your last clomid pill, so maybe just focus your energies on that time frame?

Tea, I've been party to those kinds of conversations too-if it's not making your blood boil, or not on the verge of tears, you're doing very, very well

BigZ if it was me, i wouldn't take it because i'm sure i read on here or somewhere that clomid carries on having an effect for a few cycles afterwards so i wouldn't take it in the hope that my cycle would stay ok enoughish

Tea that must have been quite upsetting and annoying, my sister (who got 'accidentally' pregnant so has no idea) said to me she doesn't believe ivf should be done as it's messing with stuff you shouldn't and if you can't get pregnant then you should just accept it.
    lovely she is.

tea - at a baby shower i went too a few weeks ago, the pregnant girl said 'why have they increased the age of people allowed to have IVF... just let them have nice lives and nice holidays!'...

As it was the girl's baby shower, I bit my tongue and decided to let her carry on living.
