I start clomid today. Decided to take it at night so I sleep through any side effects. Do you girls who are on it take it with food or on its own?0

Thanks TL.
Will catch up with your blog later today T2D, nice to see you around
Good luck with the clomid WTDN
After taking Thursday and Friday off work for the results I had a complete wobbly on Sunday night about work-I work in a family support type role-new mums with addictions, domestic violence, mental health, learning difficulties, child protection, just don't give a sh*t and/or pretty much any other issue going. I went in yesterday morning, but after I had seen a couple of clients I made a GP appointment and have been signed off for a couple of weeks. I feel quite bad about doing that, I don't do time off work, but to be honest I just can't deal with my client type just now, and would probably end up saying or doing something which would get me sacked0 -
mrsh - I think you've done completely the right thing (fwiw lol). You need some time to yourself right now. I couldn't do your job at all, it's no wonder you need a bit of a break from it. Hope you're doing ok x.
t2d - good to see you posting. Hope you're recovering well and getting some rest.
wtdn - I just took clomid on its own too. I took it in the morning and didn't really seem to get any effects. Only possibly hormonal-cow disease, but I think that kicks in at any time of the day0 -
I think you are doing the right thing mrsh, i know exactly what you mean, things like that set me off, and having to deal with it at work i think would be impossible, take care of yourself xx
T2D take care of yourself x0 -
mrsh i think it's the right thing too, both for you and your clients x
T2D so pleased to hear your recovering well, i know it feels like forever to you but six months seems pleasingly soon to me! xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Sounds incredibly sensible mrshappy. Rather be off sick for a period of time than get disciplinary action on your file. Hope you take the time you need to heal, and feel better soon
Yay t2d!
Tea, I was thinking about you, you've been very quiet. How you doing?
Wtdn, I don't usually take mine with food and have taken it at all times of day. I don't think it makes much difference to side effects, cos I think the side effects are largely related to the hormonal changes, like tea says. I also think the side effects get worse with each cycle on it.
I'm actually gonna be relieved to stop taking it tbh, and I'm almost glad of the break between taking it and doing any potential ivf treatment, just to give ovaries etc a chance to recover/get back to "normal". I can't say for definite that they're related to the clomid, but these days I feel sick all the time and headaches are getting worse, ovary/pelvic pain is more noticeable and, well, painful these days too.
Re CBFM, mine worked fine the first clomid cycle but got steadily more confused from there. I'm not bothering with cbfm/opks etc at all this (5th) cycle.
Sorry for cd1 becca.
One step, don't think we've got any formal treatment going on til tea stats her short protocol. Not sure about any testers. I'm not gonna test unless I go past at least cd28 (haven't managed that in 6 cycles). Not even sure what cd I'm now on...12 maybe?
Runner, how you doing?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
BZ - I felt that there was a general sort of malaise that seemed to increase over the months of clomid. Nothing that big on its own, but by the end of 6 months of it I felt run down and like I'd been battered. But then, I think we often feel like that just from the mental effects of going through this, so it's difficult to say what's down to medication and what's down to general life-stress. A bit of a break from it all sounds like a very good idea.
We were doing ok, thanks for asking. Had a good talk with OH about many things and we had a good week. Then yesterday he had some awful news. A really good friend of his killed himself on sunday. They've known each other years and worked together for most of that time. They guy was working at the weekend with OH's boss and seemed fine. Then he went home and killed himself. I literally can't believe it. He was just the nicest bloke, and the last person you would think would do something like that.
Obviously it's all v raw and OH is definitely in the angry stage at the moment. I feel awful that there's nothing I can do.
Sorry - that was off-topic and a complete mood destroyer!0 -
