Hi BZ, thanks your comment does help. Even if he cannot be there I'll gather that information and take it with me just in case. Yes he had to give his consent to have the SA tests. Maybe I can get them to phone him.

Sorry to hear you are in pain. I've found 12 hour ibupofen from B00ts REALLY helps me. I no-longer have that hour or so every 4 hours when the drugs wear off and then the waiting for them to kick in again. I also take paracetamol when it's really bad and sometimes that is not enough.

Have the doctors been ignoring your endometriosis issues? One of my doctors once described that endo is like acid drops burning the internal organs. That explanation seems help others understand a bit more the type of pain some of us with endo experience. Did you have your endo diagnosed through a laparoscopy?

  • Thanks everyone, official test date is Thursday the 21st, did a sneaky wee IC this morning, mr h is going on about it so much, and bfn, it's still a bit too early though.

Sorry af got you bz :(

Tensions are running rather high in the (not so)happy household just now, we are both so wound up about waiting for this result and there is a lot of snappiness going on-not helped by the fact that we work opposite shifts, so when one of is awake the other is tired.

I will do something nice and relaxing today while he is work and maybe do a nice dinner :)
  • Peonie-I meant to say,the consent forms we had to sign had to be "informed consent" so we weren't allowed to sign them there and then, we had to take them home and read them for a few days, so they may just talk through the forms and then give them away with you.

Thanks Mrs Happy, you are all making me feel better about Mr Peonie not coming.

Like everyone else, I hope you get a positive test result. We need some good news.

I wish paracetamol and ibuprofen were enough yesterday. I was on diclofenac (stronger ibuprofen type thing), strongest cocodamol dose, and tramadol (opiate/morphine, tablet form). All at the same time. And still in pain. Hoping today is better.

Wasn't aware that ibuprofen came in a slow release dose. I'm not supposed to take it, generally speaking, cos it makes my asthma worse. Worth bearing in mind for dh though :)

I've had the endo confirmed, yes. I had a laparoscopy in October. They removed some adhesions, but couldn't get them all. There's some too close to the tubes from my kidneys, for example. The docs aren't ignoring it, so much as there's just not a lot to be done if we're ttc. If I wasn't, they'd put me on something to stop my periods, but that's obviously not an option right now. I just want clarity/reassurance about my tubes tbh :o I'm also worried that the longer it takes, ttc, the more messed up my insides get in the meantime

BFN on a test for me today.

AF expected anytime. Just been and bought the slow release ibruprofen. Last month I could hardly bear the pain when I got my period. I spent a night wandering round the house in agony as pain relief didn't touch it.

Whilst I appreciate that I'm not out until AF arrives, I don't know what to do in terms of Clomid/ monitoring this month.

I go on a ski holiday around day 20 (on which I will be drinking).

I have Clomid ready to take - this would be cycle 5.
    1. Don't take it & BD around known ov - more relaxed approach
    2. Take it & BD around known ov without having monitoring scan/ trigger injection (avoid £200 cost)
    3. Speak to FS about whether to to double the dose this month - he mentioned this as an option when I went for the scan last month. If I did this, I should probably have the CD11 scan so we know what it's done
TBH the cost of the scan isn't the major issue, I suppose it's just that the whole process is tiring as it seems we are doing all this & not getting anywhere. I appreciate I'm not the only one feeling like this.

The next option for trying something new (& probably our final option), is IUI. I still need to lose some weight to make this happen.

I hope you feel better soon and, wow, that's a lot of tablets. I'm glad I could help your husband!

I've tried a few different tablets but they did not work and cocodamol makes me ill. If the pain is bad I have to wait it out. Luckily that intense pain tends to last less than a day and the rest can be managed. Stress makes the pain less bearable or makes the pain worse; so I try to relax as much as I can at that time of the month.

    I know what you mean.

I had my laparoscopy about 7 years ago and had a scar tissue web between 2 organs that they cut through. I think another has grown since as I get in a bit of pain now and again. The specialists at the time kept saying having a baby could give some relief but they did not say having endo can mean for some it takes, a lot, longer to get pregnant. I wish they had stressed that.

We suspect my mum also had endo and it took a year for her to get pregnant each time. So at the back of my mind I never thought it would be easy.

Anyway, I think I've gone a bit off topic. Tomorrow I hope to have some good FS news.

    Sorry for BFN.

I skipped Clomid this month and asked FS if I could still have bloods done to know if I'm OVing without it, but she said drug still has some effect so wouldn't be sure if OV natural or side effect of previous month. I figured it was a good way to extend the Clomid chance. I know you're focused on your age, so I can only tell you my experience, but at 29 decided to have a month off to enjoy myself and hope holiday relaxation helps. 11 days to see if it worked! x

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi ladies
    Just catching up.
TTC40 we BD Friday and Saturday so have a chance of catching it. I had a near positive OPK on Thursday and a definite positive (most I've ever had) on Friday. Here's hoping. How do you find clomid? Really hope you don't need to do another cycle x

Peonie we had our first appt last week and DH came but all he was needed for was medical history (all of which I knew anyway) and to support me (which he did a rubbish job of, playing on his phone in the waiting room:mad:). He was given a SA kit (our GP managed to mess his first one up) but I could have taken that for him. Hope it is a positive one for you x

BZ were you left hanging around by your FS? I was preparing myself for this, but as I say feel very lucky that I actually got something. Hope cycle 5 works for you x

MrsH quietly stalking you for good news!

Becca - Clomid has been OK. Some strange 'feelings' around my tubes areas - although these may actually be normal & I just don't normally pay any attention to them.
