Becca that's great news. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else.
Our first FS appointment on Monday and Mr P was supposed to come with me. He left his job a month and a half ago and although he's picked up a couple of pieces of work, he got his first freelancing job starting on Monday. He really can't afford to not go on Monday especially as he does not have their telephone number.
The FS appointment letter said we both have to attend. I'm concerned the FS may not think we are serious if he's not there. Any thoughts? Did anyone else go on their own?Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Quick question- when you've had ultrasound does the sonographer ask you what DPO/ cycle day you're on? Mine did today and then looked all smug... she disappeared at the end of the scan before I got to ask her any of my questions though- i.e. is that a normal question, can you tell if I've ovulated etc.... My mind is running away with me and I need to be brought back down to earth!
it's an innocent question, I've been asked before too
Becca, glad you had a good appointment. Be really grateful at how swift things have moved for you, it's very unusual IME.
Hope the follicles grow vk.
Good luck ttc40.
I have had to use a pad today and yesterday, but it's (TMI) very predominantly old brown blood, so I'm considering when to call cd2 for clomid taking purposes... I hadn't announced the arrival of AF to DH, but hadn't realised he was still hoping til I told him rather bluntly this eve"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
I'm definitely very grateful. I suppose there was no point in them leaving me though as things aren't very likely to happen 'naturally' with my cycles. But I feel very lucky that we had such a fab nurse & were listened to.
Sorry to hear DH was so disappointedwhat cycle of clomid is this for you?

 Good morning(ish)
Thanks goodness it's the weekend, or maybe not as work has been keeping me busy during this longest 2ww ever! Today I will not sit and SS, poke my boobs to see if they are still sore, google ICSI 2WW, pat my tummy and beg for some implanting to be going on in there.......oh, wait, that's what I've been doing for the last 4 hours :rotfl:
Hope everyone is good, I read back and then forgot everything I was going to say, doh0 -
Thanks bigzippy. I'm sorry AF got you. I had all of my fingers crossed for you.
I'm also keeping a close eye on you too mrshappy. I hope ICSI works for you! Is this your first go with it? I'm worried it's the route I'll have to go down so any thoughts on your experience with it would be much appreciated.0 -
i wouldnt worry bout oh going to appointment the only time they are really needed is if they are giving a sample
our fs has been great and iv been lucky dh has been able to come but cant say there is a need for him to be there i like him there so he feels part of what is happening:A VK :A0 -
Thanks VK. Hopefully they won't ask where he is and as his sample was fine; you're right he does not really need to be there but it would have been nice.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

MrsHappy - I'm sending you implantation thoughts, and I'll even give my belly a sympathy rub!
Wishing for you sooo much. Fingers and toes crossed.0 -
Peony, I think they like OH's to be there to show their consent, sometimes get weighed & measured (mine was), tests ordered/reviewed for them (mine was, no idea if they'd just send the instructions home with you for him? The letter re: his SA results was sent directly to him), and their family/personal medical history (again mine was, but you could probably take this info with you). Just be aware that not having him there may slow the process down.
Mrshappy, this 2ww of yours is even going slow for me! C'mon embryo, dig in!When's your official test date?
After some internal debate, I'm calling today cd2 and started the clomid this morning. Got killer cramps for my troubles too, to the point of combining a few prescription painkillers together along with hot water bottle and still being in pain despite being a bit off my face! Bloody endometriosis!
Think I'm gonna make an appointment to go talk things through with my gp this week. I'm still concerned about my tubes and am wondering how likely it is I'll be able to get another hsg done. When I had the first one done they said my tubes may've appeared blocked because they were spasming due to pain response, they gave me a smooth muscle relaxant. My worry is that with my conditions I'm always, to some degree or another, in pain - so maybe my tubes are always/frequently going into spasm (especially with the endo causing pain issues with bd too) and therefore no chance of sperm getting through...? The dye only snook through slowly even when I was unconscious and had a muscle relaxant, on the operating table - it's not like I can recreate that at home!
I have other general health issues to ask him about anyway , too...
I think I just need reassurance that all bases are being covered. I feel like they don't necessarily see/recognise how my other conditions may impact my fertility too. Also, as concerned as I am about conceiving #1, I would really love to know if it really should theoretically & practically be possible/impossible to conceive naturally, now or in the future. If it's impossible without ivf, I'd rather go back on the pill after trying (and hopefully succeeding!) for #1 - and save myself a lot of pain and adhesions.
