  • PPPS - please send big hugs to my DH - he came home for lunch, slipped bringing the bin in and landed on his face on a barrel planter. Took him to hospital and he has broken his nose. He does look like he has had 10 rounds with a boxer, but at least he is okay. I am struggling not to laugh, bless him - not at his injuries of course because it is painful, but the silly way he got them.

Hello all and hugs to those having a rough time...

I had the HSG yesterday, with sedation, and I'm very happy to report that I managed to go through with it, though I did moan all the way through and apparently kept telling my huisband that my feet were numb (cannot remember that at all!) I didn't have any pain afterwards and it was only mildly uncomfortable on the table, but I know I would have freaked again if I hadn't had sedation, as I was feeling pretty upset beforehand.

Anyway, the nurse said that from what she could see there was nothing to worry about (though of course I have to talk to my consultant to get the full report). We also managed to go and get our bloods taken for kariotyping yesterday morning so I'm feeling very relieved - have finally had all the tests done that we need to do. Now just need to get another appt at St Mary's to talk about the results, and lose about a stone, before I can get back to the babymaking.

Sigh. This is all taking so much longer than I thought it would.

thank you so much for the advice, it has cleared a lot of things up for me and i now have a better understanding so i will not look like a deer caught in headlights when we go to see the consultant.

Sarah!!! Good to hear you managed to get through it! A very positive day, isn't it?

Lilo - ouch! I hope he is feeling better now...

Nottlass - thanks for coming over, would you like a tea? Maybe I'll find some biscuits in the cupboard as well! Hope all is well!

I was promising to myself to go to the gym today, but it is so cold, I have been home for an hour and I am still wearing my coat and scarf!!! Oh, and I spend about 20-30 minutes trying to sort out failed delivery, which automated service was saying has been delivered and signed for by someone called Chapman (I am sure my cat can't sign and he is not called Chapman!). Anyway, they promised to deliver it tomorrow after waiting for the phone to be answered for nearly 20 minutes, as apparently something went wrong with their system. Oh, those warm flannel pyjamas will be the right thing for this house...
