nichart - great news on the appointmetn!!!!
Re Clomid: I did ov on my own, so I think it was just the way consultant though 'we'll give it a try'. And can I feel ov now!!!!! I had bad cramps for a day or so before feeling a sharp pain/burst, after which pain subsides, and I think egg is released. However, no luck with getting bfp! Two more months to go!
Unfortunately, the last cycle of clomid is very unlikely to be finished when I have my appointment (well, if this cycle is regular enough, it would be around CD25). What do you suggest - I just keep it as it is, or should I ask to move it?... I am just afraid as I am back to NHS, it might be another few months wait for the later appointment.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
I had a cycle of tablets left when I had my last appointment they referred me for ivf still and told me to still take the last dose and contact them if I got my BFP so I would not change your appointment
I was going to take them but I bought agnus castus and took this not realising you cannot take both together so did not want to waste them thinking it would be ages for appointment I though I will just take them next cycle0 -
Well, I know he will not be referring me for IVF yet, as he was talking about some more tests (I have no idea what sort of tests! Probably just more Clomid and then scanning at different times of the month).
My appointment is New Year's Eve, so I wouldn't mind stepping in the New Year with something optimistic on this journey!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
when I went for my appointment after my 3 months of tablets they gave me another 3 months and then the appointment after that they gave me another 2 months worth, lets hope you dont need the appointment0

Yes, lets hope!!!!! The thing that troubles me is that I ov without Clomid, so if the consultant will just keep "feeding" them to me - what is the point???? Ok, we try for 4 months, if it doesn't work, lets just move on...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
I don't not OV without them, If you feel like you don't want to carry on with them and want to try something different you should tell him/her you don't want to stay on them, he asked me after 6 cycles if I wanted to carry on with the clomid or try something else I said to carry on as I was convinced it would work0

We went to wetherspoons tonight, and as we were finishing our meal, a woman DH and I know (An ex of a friend of ours) came in with her OH. I said to DH, isnt it funny that she never had children because one of the reasons she split from our friend was that she wanted children and he wasnt bothered - and that was about eight years ago. Anyway, she hadnt seen us, and they sat down at the table next to us - as she sat down, she half turned and I realised that she was in fact heavily pregnant. I went and said congratulations and we chatted - it turned out that her and OH had tried for over 6 years to fall pregnant, and it hadnt happend and IVF had failed. They were going through the process of adoption when she fell pregnant. She is expecting a little boy to be called oliver on 9th December. I was so chuffed for her, she is a lovely lady and she is so good with children and she just looked so over the moon. She had clearly long since given up thinking she would have one naturally.
No moral to this story, I just thought that I would share the good fortune of a lady that had been through a very long journey like ours.
Have a good evening ladies - liloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -
Morning all,
Had to drop DH at station this morning, so am up earlier than usual. Have already put the chickens out, started dismantling a mirror light I need to install and made myself breakfast!
Have been keeping myself busy with house renovations and other activities. Poor DH has been too tired of late to give me much attention, so I think this month might have been a lost cause, so onto next month! Luckily DH has got some time off over the next couple of weeks which will give him a chance to recuperate a bit.
Nice story Lilo, it does give hope to us, thanks for sharing.
Ginvzt, although not Clomid, I found that the hormones I had to take with IVF really affected me post-treatment, so I can understand you not wanting to take them long term if there seems no real reason. Perhaps its a question to fire to the consultant when you see them?
LL, am keeping everything crossed for you!
Have a great day everyone. xThanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
