Hi everyone. I'm looking forwards to going out with some good girlfriends tomorrow night. It's my "hope I don't die" party. My operation to remove my fallopian tube is a week Tuesday. I'm feeling pretty much ok about it (better since I've seen the counsellor). But I still think it would be foolish to go into an op without spending a little time with those I love...
My friends are all weird like me, and are happy to go along with it. I think I might get my haircut (it's well overdue) and wear my posh new dress out. Any excuse...Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Oh hugs for all who needs them!
I am feeling rather down today, but hey - it must be one of those days. So, I have just attempted to make cranberry and white chocolate fudge. And I ended up with crumbled fudge. I put it in a tray to cool, so will try to cut later (or just use the spoon!), but the crumbs tasted good... If anyone wants some- pick up your spoon and join in!
And I made my batch of arancello and limoncelllo for gifts. Now it just need to infuse and add sugar syrup i na weeks time. One bit for Christmas gifts done.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Does anyone else bleed when they ov? Only CD19 I had a short stabbing pain roughly where I think I should ov from and then slight bleeding - I think it would just be spotting for people with a cervix but for me (us incl Lilo & Shelley) there isn't anything to act as a filter.
It's not uncommon for me to get a little spot of blood around ov time but having said that it doesn't happen every month. It's not much blood either, usually just once when I wipe.liloandstitch wrote: »
Nadine, I seem to spot really easily now, particularly in the last 2 weeks. I usually have at least a day or 2 of spotting before AF arrives, and BDing can trigger that then too.
Same here. I can be spotting on and off in the week leading up to AF and for a few days after flow is finished.
Though losing my cervix has stopped the spotting I used to get nearly every time we had sex. Now I only spot after sex if it's been a bit vigorous.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Good Morning
I have spent all morning looking at ovulation tests and I am still not sure which ones to buyAre the cheap ones on ebay any good or is it better to buy the clearblue ones? Any advice would be appreciated.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend

I used to buy the ebay ones, although they have never given me a clear result. Maybe the timing was wrong or something, but even though I knew I was ovulating, they didn't give me positives. I know have clearblue fertility monitor and had no problems it - it gives me a peak every month (well, it is my third month of using).
In all honesty - some are happy with the ebay ones, but for me they didn't work and I still have a pile of them in the drawer. If you want - you are welcome to them. (Just checked and there are 22 of them - pm me if you would like to try them out and I will post them to you. If you want just a few let me know)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying your weekend. No news from Leopardlady - did she wimp out of testing, did those white pants bite her on the bum? or is she too over the moon to let us know?!? PUT US OUT OF OUR MISERY!!!
Freckles, the clinic I use is the Create Health Clinic. They operate to timed appointments, but always run late!!!
angelavdavies, congrats on the decorating, sounds great!
Jiblets, hope you are enjoying the party! I know what you mean about that feeling, the night before my first op I wrote my will, letters to my nearest and dearest and my funeral instructions. I was convinced I wasnt going to survive the op. But obviously I did! (Ghosts cant type!)
ginvzt, I will have to rename you the domestic goddess, well done on all the kitchen activities.,
TTDB, I tried some cheap ones which I didnt find very good. I too am trying the clearblue fertility monitor from next month.
As for me, its day 15 today, so the long 2ww starting, lets be hopeful.

Freckles and Liloandstitch - I'm at Create too - that's how I had my DD in 07 - yes they do run late but that's cos they push everyone in who needs to be seen and when it's been you who's been pushed in you start not minding the delays so much - akthough I always take a book ;-)
Just been there today - had a bit of a mad few weeks - AF was 5 days late which it never normally is (so hopes were up and then dashed) and then took 3 days to sart properly so started injecting on Monday.. been today for a scan and I am not responding so they've doubled my dose and I have to go back again on Tuesday to see if I will have to abandon the cycle.. bit of an unexpected twist..
also I have been feeling really really sick since Monday, I dind't have this side effect last time - jsut the tiredness - has anyone else had this symptom.. it sometimes makes me so queasy I am gagging.. My doctor thinks it's not a side effect as I am on a very low dose at the mo (and will still be low even when I double it) but I feel awful with it...0 -
Hi Freckles
You need to call in and book, but yes they run late - see my earlier post.
they are lovely though and I had my DD with them in 07

can I ask please - I was thinking of using the clinic in Wimbledon who do natural cycle IVF - which I think is the one you use. What is it like? It it very busy? Do they have timed appointments for scans etc or is it just a turn up and wait job?
thanx x
Sorry not posting regularly and then only asking you questions everytime I dobut 14 years down the line I have to distance myself a little bit from the ttc aspect otherwise it overwhelms me and I get very down. Like you I have a beautiful DS who was 8 on Weds (where does the time go??) so I really try to count my blessings.
