  • Great news T2D.

Just an update on my wife's situation, we had a scan around 9 weeks and it was found that no baby was growing, it appears to have been something called blighted ovum.

Suffice to say we're both devastated. We really thought it was going to work this time.

We're still waiting for nature to take its course, although there is a consultant appointment in a couple of weeks to discuss options if the pregnancy hasn't ended by itself.

    Wishing everyone luck...

Epsil - I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope the coming weeks are as easy and possible for you and your wife :(

I thought I was 2dpo today. But I randomly did an OPK at lunchtime and it couldn't have been more positive if it tried. The test line appeared before the urine had soaked through to the control line. Done another one now and the same happened. Loads of ewcm seems to have appeared too so I am either ovulating again (unlikely) or I didn't ovulate before and my sustained temp rise was a fluke.

In desperation I just phoned a local clinic to ask if they could fit me in for a follicle tracking scan tomorrow so I know whats going on once and for all, but they said they're fully booked. I am so fed up with the confusion.

Sorry to hear that epsil - I guess this whole thing is getting over one hurdle & then there may be any even bigger one. Life isn't fair. Hope you both get through it by supporting each other. Words seem so inadequate sometimes.

T2D, can you post the link again (to save me searching back). Fantastic news on fertilisation.

Forgot to take first Clomid on CD2 - not sure how! Have taken the first on on CD 3 (today) & emailed FS to check whether to take them all as planned.

Oh Epsil, I can't imagine how hard that is. I've never made it to pregnancy, and it must be so hard once you get there to lose it. Lots of love to you both.

here is the link T2D'sBlog and good luck with the clomid TTC40. Hopefully it's fine to start slightly late.

Ttc40 I did the same thing! Except I didn't email the FS. I have read that FS's choose a different day to start on but it seems to always be 5 days. Either way, I'm not worried :p

What's folks opinions on first response test 6 days early pg test?
Do we really think they are that sensitive?
Iv started my antibiotics but was thinking of testing at some point next week
The only thing with not knowing exactly when ov'd I don't know when I'm due
I had my scan a week past on wed and was told I would ov within next or two which would have been thurs or fri the 17th or 18th
So I'm sumising that af would be due31st or 1st
    Would that sound about right

Epsil so sorry to hear your news, please take good care of yourselves. There's a lovely miscarriage support thread on here if you need to chat, there's a couple of people who've had a blighted ovum on there so can give their experiences if that would help x x

T2D I might be being stupid but where do the comments show up? I can't see any button to say leave a comment and I can't see any that have already been left!

VK it's not so much if they're sensitive enough, you can get ICs which are 10miu, if you look on the first page of the others thread there's a good explanation in the first post but basically you can test whenever you want but you risk a false negative as the hcg May not have risen enough to be detected if you are pregnant. If you ovulated last Friday then you would only be 8dpo today, I think the first positive tests on sites I've seen are like 10dpo which would be Monday for you.
Fingers crossed though! How long is your luteal phase normally?
