    Welcome tea& cake

All the talk of reduced success rates stats for clomid after 3 cycles, on the other thread recently, got me down - so I've been doing a little sulking ;):o I'm into the 4th cycle, cd9, High on Cbfm but no idea if it'll pick up the peak this cycle, so I'll be watching the lines on the sticks and using the digi cb opk with the stick first before feeding it in the monitor (I know morning OPK's aren't the most reliable, don't worry, just killing two birds with one stick, I'll use the opks in the eve when I feel it's imminent too). Trying not to get too freaked out about the seemingly increasingly likelihood of needing IVF, managing not to focus on it too much, but it's constantly there in the back of my head

Can't remember who asked now, but when I was first referred to my FS it was as a gynae consult for my newly discovered PCOS, and I used Choose and Book to take the first available place 11 days later. When I was referred back months later, when I still wasn't pregnant, I think my GP's PA booked me a cancellation for within around a month.

Hope all our lurking graduates are doing well?

  • Fingers crossed it works for you bigzippy. I haven't got to the clomid stage yet- wish I was but got to have HSG and OH sa first- but I'm already absolutely terrified that it won't work. I don't think I'm mentally strong enough to go through IVF because of the crippling fear that if my two free cycles didn't work then there's no way we could afford to do anymore.

I always dreamed of having a big family (wanted at least 4) but now I don't think I'll have any and I'll be left with my psychotic cat who hates me.... le sigh....

    Welcome teaandcake,
The thought of IVF is a biggie-in a way I think that we were lucky that we were made aware very early on in our journey that IVF/ICSI was the only way forward. The most difficult part for me to accept was, and still is, that we don't get any NHS help, so this is it, and there are so many things that may not go to plan even at this stage. Scary stuff.

    morning all,

not much to report here. Started d/r injections on friday and have a stonking bruise from yesterday's one - not sure what went wrong there! Bit nervous about how many of these I have to do. By the time I get onto two a day I'll be running out of places to stab myself! Just keep telling myself it's not forever.

Hope everyone had a good weekend xx.

Sometimes you do get bruised it just happens. I did mine in my stomach and use to do it like a box so at least it gave a few days between stabbing the same place twice. Sometimes I would just stab around till I found a place it didn't hurt so much, sometimes they glide in and other times it bloody kills.

If anyone wants or is using Crinone Gel for their IVF/ICSIs I have some left over form my cycle, still in date, PM if you want them. I know how expensive this stuff is.

Hugs to all those in need.

    Hi everyone,

Hope you are all ok. T2D-fantastic news about EC.

epsil-I really do know what you're going through. Sadly I lost my baby at 10 weeks pg, 2 weeks ago now. Devastated isn't the word to describe how I'm feeling.

I'll be coming back on here when I get my thoughts together-the thought of going straight into IVF is mind-boggling.

Big super dodgy hugs to anyone else who needs them.

oh Derby lots of love and hugs to you, take good care of yourself and DH

i always think it's so much more unfair when people miscarry after treatment, after going through so much they should have perfect pregnancies x
