Apparently doc said its will give better results... Sounded like a fob off!

To me too! For reference, I think was around 37bmi when they ordered mine, so I don't see the problem...? It's an xray, not an ultrasound??

Be warned though, even once they've referred you for it, it can take time to actually get it done.

even if they did an ultrasound (HyCoSy) it would be transvaginal so your weight still wouldn't have any bearing...what an odd doctor.

maybe they meant they won't give you Clomid before you've lost weight but you have to have the hsg first so he thinks there's not much point doing the hsg until you've lost the weight for the Clomid.

doctors are always obsessed with weight but when it comes to pcos ladies they do have a point x

I agree, it's probably that they won't prescribe clomid until weight isn't an issue and if they do the HSG now and you don't loose enough weight until this time next year, your tubes could have developed problems? Sounds a bit ridiculous to me but maybe that's the reason.

I think all FS's are obsessed with weight. I know those who are larger have higher risk pregnancies...but so do those who have previously had c-sections and you can choose to have those now. I'm biased though, i think the BMI scale is a load of old sh*t :)

Been spotting since yesterday so expecting CD1 tomorrow. Was bit surprised by it as it's only CD31 which is unheard of for me. Maybe clomid finally did something - shame we completely missed ov and that was the last cycle for it!

Next appt with FS on tues to run through what's going to happen with ICSI. Obviously scared about it, but also a bit excited in a v weird way. Not sure I'll be saying that once it all gets going.

Bit annoyed at having my one short cycle now though as thought AF would be the week after the appt and we could have started then. Now it looks like it will be another 5 or 6 weeks. Although guess that's not too long in the grand scheme of things.

OH has u/s on kidneys and testicles tomorrow - as you can imagine he's not exactly thrilled with the idea!!

Big hugs to you all. Especially you BZ xx.

Hey BZ, hope things are going better for you today. The process is full of demons.

Welcome little_miss_sunshine. It is hard to accept that things aren't going right - I hate the conversations with the FS when they say the stats for getting pregnant in 1 or 2 years. Makes it so hard to accept that you just can't do what other people can.

But we are here to help. There is lots of support, even if things can move slowly from time to time.

AFM, I think the down reg hormones are really effecting me. Feeling really depressed, and yesterday when I go home from work I had a proper crying meltdown. And I'm really tired. I'm supposed to be going out to see friends tonight, and I really can't face it... but will make myself go. I just want to curl up in bed!

Congrats - good to hear happy news.

CD9 here. Having CD11 scan on Tuesday & then trigger shot hopefully at some point so we can be certain when ov is. I have booked an appt with the nurse at GP surgery for Thursday morning which will hopefully save me a journey to the private FS like last month. This will only work if he says the injection should be on Thursday morning though.

Hopefully OH will not be away with work at the end of the week & we'll manage to BD a few times. As the sperm can live for a few days I'm hoping it will help to have some swimmers hanging round - just as long as I don't wear him out for the key one!

Haven't got dressed today. OH has been out & I've been doing stuff around the house so haven't got round to it! Think I will just shower & put PJs back on. Still got plenty of things on my list of things to do.
