LM - I find evening primrose oil is really effective for breast pain. I used to take one a day for the first party of my cycle and it would prevent pain later. I think you shouldn't take it after ov. Actually recommended by a breast surgeon.

    Cheers from Hong Kong!

Ladybabe, my husband was severely obese (isn't any more ;)) when we went to the FS and his SA was fine and they've never weighed him since. In our Primary Care Trust they don't really look at the bloke unless there's a problem with his results, so maybe that would reassure him about going?

    T2d  have a great time!! :D

Lily, I get that sometimes, more so when I was on norithisterone - it makes me feel nauseous all the time so I don't even question nausea anymore

Vesper, I agree with the other ladies. It could be that she could just report back to the GP that you need the referral sending off and they'll authorise the PA to do so, iyswim?

    AFM:
Cd14, still on high on cbfm but the stick does show increasing lh, so hopefully tomorrow I'll get the peak. I think I called cd1 a day earlier this cycle, so that's probably why I'm "a day behind" iyswim? Dh hadn't been feeling great this week though, so if I manage every other day I'll be doing well  he's already asleep now, so I told him to wake me in the morning before he goes to work ;) hopefully he'll feel up to it then :o

Ladybabe - welcome (& massive well done on the weight loss). There are so many things it could be - but after 7 years i think you need to drag him to the doctors! Have you seen the GP for any tests?

BZ - hope the peak can be timed with BDing.

No smiley for me either (I'm a day behind you & also called a day early I think). Off for my trigger injection this morning.

T2D - hope you are enjoying your trip. Def a place I want to visit.

Vesper - I would think it needs to be the GP to get tests done.

Ladybabe - welcome to the thread. There is nothing to stop you seeing gp on your own and he can organise initial blood tests and then after those your DH could have his SA. As others have said it is women's weight they check rather than the mans and they certainly should stop you getting initial tests done because of weight. I went to go first on my own and then spoke to my DH about getting SA done. All men are worried about SA and what results may be but you need to get it done.

Ttc40 - good luck with injection.

    T2d - enjoy your holiday

BZ - every other day is good.

    Sorry about CD1.

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is yes. The reason why SS is so insidious when TTC is that the rising progesterone before AF mimics exactly early pregnancy symptoms. So sore breasts, tiredness, bloating and sickness are all often caused by high progesterone :(

    Thanks.

Although yesterday was CD1! I could tell my by chart it was going to happen as my temp started dropping by 5DPO...as usual! Made it to 9dpo that cycle though...
I wasn't trying to SS with the whole cramping and sore breasts thing...I just wondered if it could have been a delayed effect from the prog.

    T2D - Enjoy yourself :)

BZ - Good luck this cycle!

lots of cramps and backache and the 2ww is driving me nuts :o oficial test date is monday and because we had the chemical preg last time it has frightened me about getting my hopes up too soon, i'm trying to hold off until at least nearer the time :)

    Good luck Runnerduck!
Hope you enjoy your trip Time2deal.
    Onestep, hope you're doing ok.
TTC40, did you manage to inject? Sorry to ask you if you're already said, but why not IVF? Would it be private?
Lilymay, I'm a huge cheesecake fan. Seasonal suggestion if you make your own - instead of crushed biscuits, try lebkuchen (German xmas buscuits: cheap at Lidl) for the base - adds gorgeous flavour! Also, I used evening primrose oil for a while before ttc as sore, works wonders as t2d says.
Vesper, I spoke to the nurse, who then popped into the GP for advice. It was GP who then made appointment with me to do all the tests, but my surgery is pretty informal and female-orientated.
Hi Ladybabe, welcome! Well done on weight loss, and it's good to talk. My hubby is overweight with poor SA, but he's been to focus on improving his diet rather than lose weight. Hope you speak to doctors, I wish I'd approached them sooner.

BZ - good luck this cycle, fingers crossed for you.

    Hi to everyone else!!

AFM, I'm CD 11, been BDing pretty much twice a day since CD7 - hubby was away and likes to make up for it!! Knackered already, lets hope he can keep it up (!) for another week :-)

Called for blood test results and I definately OV'd last month, so he's feeling under pressure now.

Not much more to add, so hope everyone is having an ok day.

Saw the FS for the injection at 8.05am. One in the bum for me :o!

Apparently, I will ovulate in 38 hours. We need to 'be active' (as FS puts it) in 36 hours to give the chance for the sperm to the right place at the right time.

Originally I thought it would be at 7.30am - when I told OH that I hadn't had it done until 8.05am he said 'at least we'll be able to watch Coronation St' - romance eh?

vseviour - due to age which I can't change (& BMI which I haven't worked hard enough on) we are not entitled to NHS IVF. We could afford it privately but the odds are against us & we don't want to put ourselves through it with such a low chance of success.
