You keep hanging around, time2deal. You are so doing the right thing - the more you find out, the more you talk, the more you prepare yourself, the better. It's so scary to be where you are right now, but every thing you're doing is giving you a little bit more control.

We're with you every step of the way.
What she said ^^ :D Glad you're managing to have a giggle t2d, and I also insist on you sticking around ;) Glad you're managed to super finances though, that would've been a great source of stress for me too

Ttc40 already have been "busy" and don't plan to stop just yet ;) hopefully we get another clomid success story this cycle! :)

One step, hope the treatment goes well and the puppy settles in well :)

Vesper, you could even argue that the ttc issues are making the depression worse and treating one will treat the other? ;) in any case, I doubt that would be a reason for them to fob you off, good luck!

Runner duck, how many dpo/dpt are you now?

    T2D - you're in my prayers, if that's ok?

Pray away! Mum says she is 'storming heaven' for me. I even contemplated going to church the other day - but only for a moment...

And good luck with the treatment. I googled, and it doesn't look like much fun. If you don't mind me asking, why is it stopping you TTC? Or is the carcinoma in a delicate spot?
  • Sending bucketloads of good vibes to those of you dealing with a sh*tty time just now-I've just had a wee blub while doing my macmillan ecards for Christmas-something I hadn't ever thought of doing until having dealings with an amazing macmillan nurse.

I had a FS appointment this evening, have to phone tomorrow and make a nurse appointment for bloods, paperwork etc then it will be go go go for my January cycle. I'm trying to work out the timeframe for it all, but just confusing myself. My mum came to the appointment with me as mrh started a new job today-hope he is getting on okay, he is still a bit delicate after his PESA last week :o

Hope he gets on ok, mrs happy :)

No "action" for me tonight  DH isn't haven't a great day/evening. I didn't have a great day either, so hopefully we'll make up for it and cbfm is right about it not being the crucial time just yet :o

It's on my shoulder, so not too delicate. The cream I'm using is fairly nasty stuff, & gets absorbed into the bloodstream towards the end of the treatment, so they recommend not being pregnant or breastfeeding. Probably just a precaution really.

T2D - hello, hope today's going ok for you. I think organising the things you have some control over sounds very sensible, and I'm glad that things are looking ok financially.
I'll be praying for you too x.

    Hi all.

Been for CD11 (internal) scan - although it could be CD 10 really as AF started then stopped.

FS said he was looking for the follicles to be 16mm or bigger. There was one which was 17mm & a couple around 10mm so this seems OK.

He recommended waiting a day or so longer before the trigger injection. We then need to be active 36 hours after the injection.

After a bit of debate, I'm planning for him to do this at 7.30am Thursday - looks like we'll have to Sky plus Coronation St on Friday night! LOL. He can only do it at this time as he's on NHS work later in the morning.

I did try to get a appointment with the nurse at my GP surgery - but no such luck. This is despite me saying it's only an injection & I'll be in & out in 2 minutes. The GP is a few minutes from home, the private hospital is 10 miles away - across a city centre in morning traffic.

I was well p$$$ed with the surgery - I fit lots of 'extras' into my working day, I really didn't think it was too much to ask. I'm hardly a drain on the NHS! I had to bite my tongue as I knew it wouldn't get me anywhere.

But anyway, at least I've got some eggs there to ovulate with!

Sorry if I'm stating something that has already been discussed previously but are you not able to inject yourself? And it Seems odd that that the surgery can't squeeze you in for an injection, you're not asking for a discussion/ consultation at the same time.

Glad you've got some eggs to go with and hopefully a couple more days will give them a little longer to grow some more. I remember my life being controlled by injections and the size of follicles. :D

    Good luck TTC40

The FS did ask if I had been shown how to inject (like I assume everyone is for IVF) which I hadn't. He then asked the 'nurse' with him if she could inject which she couldn't - I then looked at her badge & I think she was a healthcare assistant.

I assume it wasn't worth showing me for the sake of one injection - although I think I will do this for another couple of months if not successful. We're not going to do IVF so feel I should give this the best chance.

Forgot to say that yesterday on the radio (as I was driving to FS appt), they said that yesterday was the most likely day of the year to get pg. This is based on 16 September having more birthdays than any other day.

Assuming that many people are a few days early/ late giving birth I prefer to think that this is a good week to get pg - so for anyone ovulating around now, keep dancing!
