    Brilliant news MrsH :)

If AF wasn't so definitely in the building I'd swear I was pg. Everything smells so strongly, and just the thought of food is making me heave. Also fell asleep twice during the day yesterday, and am exhausted today.

So now I have horrible heavy AF and pg symptoms. Nice one body.
  • Hello. Anyone have PCOS and taking just metformin? I've tried clomid (got preg on first cycle of 50mg but mc at 7 weeks) I'm resistant to clomid and tamoxifen. I'm now taking 1500mg a day of metfomin.
New to this site so please my excuse dumbness.
I have my sealed pot and I WILL save some money this year.Aiming for £400

Plymouth, I have pcos, I was on just metformin but at the time my tubes were also blocked/twisted, unbeknown to me. I think there's a couple of other ladies on here on metformin too, but I'm now on clomid. (why did I think tamoxifen was for swine flu?? :o)

Anyway, welcome to the thread, and sorry to hear about your mc :o

Tea, I get that some cycles - makes me very angry!

    V, how are you?

Btw, Peonie, I forgot to reply to you! :o - I *think* it's estrogen that's too dominant with endometriosis cases - but one being out of kilter makes them all out of kilter, from what I recall.

  • Hello not posted on here for a while, but thought I would share my good news, I had a medicated Frozen Embryo Transfer, which has resulted in a BFP...in fact a very BIG FAT POSITIVE- twins!

This time it was two poor quality "frosties" and I didn't believe it would work, well why would it?

For those who dont know me, I have a dd (2yo), who was another IVF miracle after 6 years TTC, (Clomid, Fresh IVF, FET etc etc ) I also had a MMC at the start of the year.

The ironic thing is in terms of quality, of all the rounds of treatment these were the worst embies we have had put back and were the most sucessful, whereas the "perfect" high scoring ones didn't make it.

I wasn't sure if I should post as its been ages since I have posted, but then I remembered that it gave me hope when I saw it can actually work.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before

Winky that's fantastic news! double the fun hey :) hope you have a very easy pregnancy and incredibly cute babies :)

plymouth, my metformin story is as follows
i was diagnosed with PCOS, had no cycle whatsoever and put on 500mg twice daily. got a bang on 35 day cycle and conceived but unfortunately miscarried.
after the miscarriage my cycles went haywire again and now i'm on 3x500mg which has made me ovulate a few times on a 42 day cycle but then nothing between august and october. hopefully this cycle onwards will be ok

practically speaking, to help with side effects, make sure you take the metformin with food or after food, never on on empty stomach. reducing your sugar intake will help too x
