DH would be having permanent duvet day, atm I think
:cool:
Lilymay - on the subject of timescales, when I told my sis I was getting clomid to try for 6months, after which we'd get referred for IVF, she said "6 months isn't long to try!".:mad: She actually has no idea what she's talking about. And it's not even 6 months when you work in how long you're waiting for the appt to go back to FS, then their referral time to the AC clinic, then the wait around for the appropriate cycle day etc etc! If you haven't been through this (or been that very very rare very close friend that follows the ins and outs with you) carp, you simply just don't know.:cool:
I get the impression (I've avoided news reports) KMids has been admitted for hyperemesis - but I was wondering why some private physician hadn't just bunged up an IVF etc for her at home to keep it out of the private eye...? I do wonder though, whether they'd get flak either way - if they go private then "why isn't the NHS good enough for you, but is for us?". If they don't, then "why aren't you giving the Royal Baby the best care possible". Like I say, no way I'd way to be them. :cool:
I'd still rather have my own bump along their way though
Amen to your first comment! Do you know, I sometimes wonder what I would have done if it has taken this long to conceive DS after DD passed away. The fact I might still be trying in December 2012 never even crossed my mind...how naive I was
And yes, she's been admitted for (the latin name of ) extreme morning sickness. She's in a private hospital though!!! Kind Edward VII is it?
I too wonder why they didn't just get private treatment at home to avoid all the press. Actually, the news report I read said she fell ill at her parents house and we all know how much the Middletons love being in the public eye.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

That is extremely annoying. Sorry you're going to have to wait that long. Dealing with the nhs can be so very frustrating. Afm I telephoned yest for my hycosy appointment (cd1) and I was lucky enough that they could get me in on 17th dec. was very surprised. Don't want to sound like I'm rubbing it in, but for other women who might be wondering how long they night have to wait, it wont necessarily be a long time. I suppose it depends on where your nhs is.
Still, I do have to wait til end of feb for the official results and the next step so it wouldn't even have mattered if I did get a later app.
Not a good day yest - cd1, hsg booked (scared). No BDing in dec as app will be after ovulation so there's December out. And to top it all off big argument with OH.0 -
Five month wait does seem very unfair ptp

Dr was horrible. Told her what we was there for and she gave me a lecture about my weight. And again at the end with 'dont put pressure on yourself' as an added patronizing parting gift. Helpfully there was no units on the report but she thinks the count is ok motility is good but no idea about morphology, if it's a percentage then it's lower than normal but she's going to check with the lab and call on Thursday x
any help would be appreciated..
count was 22
motility was 70
morphology normal was 3
and sperm migration test was 4

Those are the kind of doctors that discourage you from going at all. It makes you realise when you find a good one they are worth keeping hold of!
I think 22m is ok, but on the lowish side. 20m-60m is the normal range I think, so within normal.
I don't know about the other things, but they sound good. The ones we had included (in tiny writing) some standard ranges at the bottom of the results sheet. I'll see if I can find it later and give you the normal ranges.0 -
thank you!
runner duck the clinic wouldnt let us have ours ourselves, we need to see a doctor to interpret them...useful lol xxLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

ok (quickly while DH is away, as he won't like sharing this!)
Reference values: WHO 2010
Volume >= 1.5ml
ph >=7.2
motility: 40%
Morphology >=4%
concentration >=15m/ml (I think this is count)
32% forward progressions
Viability >= 58%
Round cells <=5 million/ml
ASAb: <50%. No idea what this is.0 -
thats a great help thanks, so his morphology seems low but his motility is way up on normal. ditto count if its concentration
anyone know what a sperm migration test actually is? internet is suprisingly silent on the subjectLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Hugs to everyone having a tough time just now-I really dislike how Christmas always seems a time of reflection cos I really don't want to reflect on the poop that has been this year!
Anyhow-mrh had his PESA today, poor soul is a bit delicate this evening, and we are £900 lighter, but they are hopeful that it went well, they are doing a test freeze and thaw before committing to any results, so we will know tomorrow if there are good swimmers being frozen for us
I'm a wee bit worried that mrh seems to think that now he has done this we are magically going to get a baby, he doesn't seem to realise that this was only the first step in a long and difficult journey-either that or his PMA is way better than mine, or perhaps he is still a bit druggedTime to go and be a sympathetic caring wifey again
