Feeling blue. :( Posted a while back as we had our first ever NHS FS appointment on 8th November. They told me second appointment would be 6-8 weeks then got a letter saying 28th March 2013.

Got a new letter saying sorry but they had to cancel that, new appointment 11th April 2013.

Five months from first (just medical history) to second appointment. :( I hate to criticise the NHS because it's a wonderful organisation, but I'm feeling pretty upset. :(

I completely understand how you feel, however, I was referred in early July 2012, had my first appointment on 6th August 2012 (just medical history of which mine is complicated), had my HSG early November 2012 and am seeing the FS on 7th December. So that's 4 months between FS appointments for me. I think that's pretty quick to be perfectly honest. You will likely get a load of earache from the reception staff (as I did) if you phone them to ask for an earlier appointment but it's worth doing. Atleast then you know you tried.

I think the FS's need to make it clear to people that fertility on the NHS moves ssslllooowwwlllyy. I remember feeling really disappointed when I knew I would have to wait 3 months for my HSG. Infact, I waited 2 months without hearing anything despite me ringing and ringing the department.

To be fair, after my daughter died, it took nearly 6 months until we were seen by a consultant at the hospital. 6 months waiting for answers after something like that is inexcusably disgusting.

P.S - I just got a really positive OPK! Today is CD16! That makes me soooooo happy!!!

    Have fun tonight Lily!

Runnerduck - let's hope the pain is worth it in the end. Everything crossed for you.

Don't think it's CD1 yet but AF is def on her way. Sometimes it's hard to decide - and it matters as I need to take Clomid from CD2. OH is away for a couple of days/ nights around ov so not expecting a succesdful month. Was going to pay for the CD11 scan & then trigger injection (so you know exactly when ov will take place) - but not much point if OH in a different country!

Wine & chocolate here. All are welcome!

hi primmer, thanks :), we will be having 2 back as long as they make it, as we are private we can decide, if you are NHS it is more of a struggle i think.

Runnerduck - glad you get choice and can get 2 back. At our clinic even if private it is embryologist and doctor who get final decision with you. I got 2 embies back as they didn't reach blasts and due to my age but know lots ladies there wanted two back but were pressured into 1!

oh, ours just came in and asked how many we wanted and i said 2 and they said that was fine, i'm 36 but have a bit of a disaterous track record :o I always thought if you were funding it it was your decision, maybe it differs from clinic to clinic, we had 2 blasts last time, but its not looking so good this time :(

runner I've got everything crossed for you!!
BZ thanks my lovely, I'm ok.. 11dpo, and no change here :) I'm still reading along and not posting too much. My acceptance that all treatment options have been exhausted isn't all that enthralling for others to read about ;) Can't quite bear to leave you all just yet though!
