Hey guys and gals,
my husband and i have our appointment for our first couselling session at start of november before we start our iui treatment
kind of quite excited but nervous
we are getting 6 goes at iui before if needed getting 3 of ivf - just wondering where this sits with everyone elses local hospitals
hope you are all getting on ok x:A VK :A0 -
Vk. That sounds like a lot of Nhs support. Where in the uk are you?
It's wrong that everyone doesn't get the same opportunities - none for me as I'm too old!0 -

Is that NHS? No support for me as I was over 35 when I started fertility treatment. Even if we'd fit the criteria it would have still just been one round of IVF (IUI is not supported at all by my local trust)."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Well time away was lovely but didn't do much for the BD'ing. We managed once (a good one lol), but then I got yet another UTI. That's 4 in less than a year now. Started work in the new office today so that's a great combination - a nearly 2hr commute and a need to wee every 20 mins.
Am CD25 and don't think I've ov'd but have totally lost track of things lately. Ov tests don't seem to work, and my waking times are all over the place so temping's gone to pot this cycle too. Next FS appt is a week today so hopefully they'll have a better idea of what's happening. Don't really want to waste anymore time on clomid as it's clearly not working for me.0 -
Tea lover, I used to get a lot of uti's. Am I remembering right that you audio have ibs? It doesn't help with recurrence of them, you see. Being constipated doesn't help, specifically. Have you tried concentrated cranberry capsules - to neutralise the ph, I think? Endo in/around the bladder can cause uti problems too
Juju that's brill
Lisa, have you been thinking about other ways of parenting? How old are you? Is it worth having, say, a year off, where you do nothing ttc related and recouperate from all you've been through?
AFM, I'm something small past dpo, and my mood has tanked. Feels like it's impossible that we could be so lucky for this to be The One, but I can live with feeling like this if it makes AF easier to bear in 10 days or soI really do think norithisterone made me sensitive to progesterone though, cos I feel nausea almost as soon as the egg pops out  least I know that now though, rather than convincing myself it's pre-implantation morning sickness

BZ - fingers crossed. You have done what you can.
I can understand feeling like you will never be lucky enough for anything to work, but we know there are lots of success stories out there, so it does, and it will.
I had a dream last night where I was a crazy woman trying to insist that a random lady let me hold her baby. Not a great sign!0 -
Lisa you have been through so much but I always looked up to you after all your IVFs and I don't think i could have had as many as you. I was coming to the end of the road before attempt no. 5 and I was seriously looking at adoption, have you considered this?
If we decide to have any more children after junior is born we will look at adoption. I couldn't go through anymore IVFs and I am not getting any younger with not a great AMH level either.

I'm 34, hubby is 37. Which seems quite young for all this I know but we have been trying for so long.
We can't adopt, too many marks against us (nothing bad or illegal or anything like that!!) Just lots of silly red tape that prevents us.
I'm simply at a loss.
Thanks ladies x2 angels in heaven :A0 -

Hi everyone,
Just reading back very quickly but I saw this. You are very lucky VK - that is a huge amount of support. I get nothing from the NHSEven if I was childless, I would still get nothing where I live. Such a shame that there is a massive postcode lottery.
BZ - Find some PMA and keep hold of it! You are doing great and there is no reason what so ever why this can't be 'the one' (or 3 as it is going to be) for you!
T2D - I had crazy dreams last night too..there was a naked attacker in my house! I would actually call it a nightmare because I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep!
Tea - Can I have your clomid please? I am so angry with the hospital. I phoned this morning to find out when my follow up appointment will be and the reply I got was "6-8 weeks, but obviously that puts us around Xmas time so it'll probably be mid January some time". RANT ALERT. It's so fhecking frustrating. I wanted them to give me the prescription before the start of my next cycle but it looks like I will have atleast 2 more cycles after this one before I can start on it. ANGRY WOMAN!!
So, yeah, AFM, feeling very deflated, angry, upset, frustrated, resentful and general a bit peed off with the world right now. How do you get past the "why me" phase?
Needing some love ladies!14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
lilymay - (((big hugs))). Oh, and I so wish that I could let you have the clomid I have left as I'm sure it must work for some people. All it's done for me is make me ov even later (wasn't sure that was possible) and made me a bit depressed. But on the plus side, if I'm the person getting the side effects, that means it's definitely going to be working for at least one of you lovely ladies. I'm sure that's how the statistics works, right?!
Am very much stuck in the "why me" phase at the moment so can't help with that one, other than to send another big hug. Feel very sorry for myself atm. Work is soooooo bad and I only stuck it out here so I could have mat. leave. Now I have a job I hate, a massive commute, a complete cowbag of a boss and still no fecking baby. Grr!0
