Hope you get the results soon Team Lowe
You've been quiet, tea...?
Derby, you should post more! Sorry to hear about the failed IUI and the AMH tests, are you going private or NHS? How do you feel about going straight to IVF?
One step, The Plan is officially a go!
Scan booked for a week on fridayso I've started the clomid this morning
need to just book in for the cd21 progesterone test and it's all sorted. Cd21 falls on a saturday, so they said the friday or monday is fine, I just have to make the appointment (don't know why, I've previously just showed up??).
Ttc40 I think one if the reasons they do the follicular taking scan is to check you're on the right dose - to avoid hyperstimulation? Good luck with it anyway , partner!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Thanks for the hugs TeamLowe; I'm sorry you're having to chase everyone for your SA results. I had a nightmare with my records because they put them all under my husbands name, and then when I finally got them to change it to mine, they used my maiden name! Fingers crossed you get something soon.
bigzippy-you're right-I should post more! Usually I don't have much news other than AF here again, but I guess things are moving now although not in a brilliant direction. We're currently NHS but they only offer 1 round of IVF so we could end up private pretty soon. I think I'm still in shock about going from unexplained fertility, to well actually you have low fertility and we can only offer IVF, so it's not the best Monday morning I've ever had. It's just a bit surreal.
If I have a low AMH, will I go through the menopause soon? Jeepers...I know I didn't like getting older, but surely this is just rubbing salt in the wound?0 -
Does anyone know about non-stick pans and the link with cancer & infertility? I have changed my diet to a more natural (cooking from scratch) but I have read this a few times now & am going to ditch & get a cast iron or stainless steel frying pan instead.0

I think if we need to do month 2, I will probably do the scan. The FS will give me a trigger too so we will know exactly when ov will take place.0 -
Good evening ladies.
Hope everyone is well and plans are all going to plan
I'm a bit bamboozled after FS appointment tonight-we went along as we had been asked to and were told that my AMH was a bit low-we saw the same FS that we had seen on NHS earlier in the year and this was the first time that my AMH had been mentioned as a potential problem, we had been told that all my results were okay, and the big issue was the CF gene and the need for PESA. I had an internal scan while we were there and was told that things didn't look as bad on the scan as they had on paper, he could see several follicles and my womb looks good  He just wanted to make it clear that there is a risk of not getting any eggs
Mrh will phone the urologist and make his PESA appointment tomorrow-we have decided that we have come this far, we know it is a gamble, but we are going to go for it0 -
Hi everyone - i've been a lurker for a while but have just reached our 12 months of TTC with no luck.
We're off to see the FS in a few weeks, can anyone tell me what to expect. We've both had some inital test, me bloods which came back fine and him sperm which came back 'satisfactory' not sure what that means.
thanks

Good luck! (btw, I took a spare pair of knickers with me, for after the internal)
Oh and welcome!
Mrs hapy, I don't think it's "routine" to test AMH on the nhs...? That's just an impression I've been given though and I know pretty much nothing about the while AMH thing tbhGood luck though, and keep us posted!
Rita, never heard about any of that"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Mrshappy - wishing you luck and success with the next step and hope that even though Amh low there will still be good quality eggs. At my review at ivf clinic I asked about getting my Amh levels checked as I am worried about early menopause and I was told that it is not definitative and only an indication.
Debt free - and my 1st appointment with fs she went over my blood results and dh's SA results from the gp and arranged for me to have a hsg to check my tubes. We had to complete a form beforehand will all our medical history etc so that sped up the appointment and then it was about 4/5 months later that I had the hsg.
BZ - glad the plan is all systems go.
Ttc40 - hope you are getting on ok.0 -

My appt was private but the GP had already arranged the tests which you have had.
He looked at the test results & told us there was nothing there indicating that we couldn't get pg.
He did an internal scan - which seemed fine.
I then arranged a HSG. Due to where I was in my cycle (& because I was paying for it!) this happened the next day (as otherwise I would have had to wait 3 or 4 weeks).
For me, this identified a problem, blocked tubes. I then had an op to unblock them.
It's very much a waiting game.
AFM, day 3 of Clomid. FS told us to be 'active' on days 12/13/14 (although it is allowed before then too).
