Some good news threads - nice to read. Shame it's not BFPs.
I went to see FS last night (private appt). He's prescribed a 4 month supply of Clomid. CD11 at the mo so will start next cycle. He has said we need to be 'active' on CD12/13/14. He said no need to use OPKs, just BD on these days.
I have a private prescription. He said I can collect it from any pharmacy. Does anyone know if the cost is the same wherever I collect from?
Plan is to have 2 months unmonitored. If not successful then I will have 2 monitored cycles where I will be scanned on CD11 & subject to there being an egg to release, he will give me a trigger injection. The egg will release 38 hours later - no pressure there then for OH to perform! This will cost £200 a time.
He mentioned increased 'risk' of twins with Clomid, that would be a nice thing to be biggest concern!0 -
It was good news! He got the job & pay rise :j:j:j

) with the first pay check.
We're going to set up a DD to syphon off the "excess" new money to a different account so we can pay off my overdraft and then save for any future IVF/baby/holiday etc needs. It should work out to an extra £280ish a month after tax
It'll be nice to be able to do things like take my niece (uni student near to us) out for tea, with or without her bf, and not be stressing so much about the bill, etc
I'm so proud of him!I can't believe how much sh1te he's been through, and still excels :A He's so happy to have gotten it, and so excited to start the job, I'm so happy he's happy

Thanks tealover and primmer tooHope you're both ok?
How's OH about the results now, tea?
Do you think it's possible/you'd consider a loan, or saving up, for another shot at at IVF, primmer, depending on what the clinic suggest? Or maybe IUI or something?
Ttc40 good luck with the clomid, we cross posted last night"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

No, it may vary slightly from place to place as it is a private prescription, in the same way that a loaf of bread might do. But clomid is quite a cheap drug, so the difference is only likely to be a couple of pounds to be honest for a 4 month supply. For the big guns IVF drugs it is definitely worth shopping around though, as you can save hundreds of pounds off the cost depending on where you get them from.0 -
Thanks Nicki, nice to 'see' you. How are you?0
