Congrats CCM! How brilliant for you! :j

Dom, I hope you're recovering well and that the other side kicks in to high gear to make it up to you

Chickpea, oh no. How pants :(

I've made an appointment with my gp for the morning cos I'm worried about this cough developing further and causing more pain  the shoulder pain from the trapped gas is doing my head in... so much so I might actually have to try peppermint tea tomorrow! I don't do teas/coffees, so it'll be a first ;) I'm actually sat on my couch tonight, semi-upright, so that's a bonus :)

CCM - that is great news, congrats !

Dom - hope your recovery goes well.

Chickpea - hugs, pregnancy announcements are awful.

BZ - good luck at doctors, hope peppermint tea works.

AFM - still waiting for review letter from clinic with their views on my treatment and suggestions for the future. I did chase by email last week but received no response

BZ - I can't stomach peppermint tea but found peppermint cordial worked really well on the shoulder pain. Plus it tastes lovely! That and a hot water bottle on the worst area usually take the edge off it. Hope you're feeling better today and the cough is going - that's the last thing you need!

Gotta tell you, tea sounds better than cordial at this point! :rotfl: I'd never even heard of peppermint cordial before you mentioned it..! Hot water bottles are genius though. Although, for some reason, even though I wasn't concerned about scalding my skin pre-op, I now am?? I think I'm turning into a wuss :p

Primmer, I'm getting irritated on your behalf, at this rate!

The cordial is lovely as it tastes of mint! I thought the tea would be minty and was really disappointed when it tasted like.... sludge :rotfl:.

    Hi JuJu!

Hi everyone - I have zero news today!

BZ - good news something trickled through that tube - there is hope.

    ++++++

CD18 today, OV'd on CD14 today - what a model cycle! I'm trying to rein in my booze consumption this month - last month was ridiculous.

The way I see it, one bottle of wine=£5 (talking vin du table). So if I can go cold turkey for 10 nights, I'll have saved £50 - which is coincidentally the cost of a bottle of Tom Ford perfume.

You were right! It was the colour of it too! :rotfl: My friend (who was here to look after me and take me to the doctors :A) said it was ok for 2 sips then threw it out too. I only managed one sip and spat it out :p I think it tasted muddy, she thought it was metally or something. It definitely smells better than it tasted! :rotfl: I wonder if hot peppermint cordial (not that I could find any) would taste better  I do, after all, I use apple and blackcurrant cordial with hot water, when I'm not well, rather than expensive fruit tea bags... Where did you get your cordial from?

Chickpea, I know it could theoretically be good that it trickled through, but a) I'm now paranoid about ectopics even if I did by some miracle the swimmers did get to the egg :o b) I can't even bear to imagine that we're not going straight to ivf, cos it'll be too crushing to be disappointed again. Especially as they didn't want to say the tubes were fine on Friday.

I do have a chest infection, but hoping the antibiotics kick in before it takes proper hold! Trust me... *rolleyes* GP was nice and sympathetic this morning though. :) And gave me antisickness tablets too, cos I've been feeling sick for about 3wks now and it's getting boring now

Hope everyone's ok. Btw, I'm the same about hearing from "graduates" (and feel the same about that word, Chickpea ) from this thread - it's more relevant and hopeful to me, than from the normal ttc thread :)

I think it was asda - but it's in the mixers section rather than with the rest of the squash. Usually somewhere near the bitter lemon and tonic water :).

Hope the antibiotics are working and the chest infection clears off v soon.

I must admit I like peppermint tea! I drink it fairly regularly as it helps with my ibs. Does take a while to get used to I must admit.

Apparently my review letter could take a month or more so I have contacted the clinic this morning and asked for a review appointment to discuss matters. Hoping wont have to wait too long for appointment.
