I read this but dont post, is there actually many woman that get pregnant on their 1st IVF? The stats just seem so low and im not sure if I could deal with it all emotionally.
I read a book last week called the '2 week wait', it was about two couples attempting IVF. It was a nice read with smiles and tears.0 -
Sorry to hear about your eggs QQ

I woke up to an answerphone message from my FS secretary, but I don't know what she wanted cos I forgot to ring her back! Have to wait til monday now

That's a good idea. May ask about that.
I've had 8, 5 & 4 cell replaced once (three embryos at once), but that didn't go well, so was aiming for blasto:o
Good morning!
Sarah - bet the scan made it all worthwhile!

Sorry about eggs, QQ.
I am on an avocado binge atm - I read they were good for egg quality. Can't hurt (but getting sick of em already).
I have raging cystitis - occupational hazard of TTC long-term. Oh well - nothing another load of Trimethoprim won't fix!

If you are bored, I have been looking at a TTC IVF blog, Womb for Improvement - v good. Funny insomuch as the topic can be.
Have a good day!0 -

QQ - I have never made it to blasto as I never have enough fertilised eggs for them to risk it. The last 3 I have implated have been 8 cells but still no BFP so who knows.
Having a restful weekend but hubby is taking me out for a meal tonight as its my birthday on Tues. I hate the 2ww, I always imagine if I was pregnant myself telling my friends and family and how happy we all would be but this never seems to come true. No signs no symptons hoping for some implantation bleeding this weekend.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

I remember reading once that soya isoflavones can help ttc - do any of you use them?:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
I've never even read this thread before as TTc isn't my problem but it is my younger sister. She's TTC now and has been for about a year. She's already got a little one and she had a miscarriage a couple of months ago but she tried for 4 years before she fell pregnant with her first. There are no medical problems for not falling quickly. My worry is that my sister treats TTC like a military operation. She's obsessed with ovulation sticks and temperature and will only have sex when the time is right - never at any other time as she says it's pointless. I think she should be having sex as often as possible to stand the best chance of falling pregnant. I mean, I know there is a small window to fall pregnant in but once a month sex? Could that be why it's taking so long?
What do you think?0 -
Some take 80-100mg/day on CD3-7.Cake4brains wrote: »I remember reading once that soya isoflavones can help ttc - do any of you use them?
It is considered to be a natural version of Clomid.
2ba3c tried it and she got a massively long cycle but got pg.
It is supposed to make better egg/s, stronger/earlier ov and better ewcm.
However, it does not work for some, and it never worked for me.
Some said their cycle became even longer.
Someone else on the TTC board also got pg with their first Soy cycle.
Hard to say. Has she and her husband had any tests?thehappybutterfly wrote: »I know there is a small window to fall pregnant in but once a month sex? Could that be why it's taking so long?
In my case, DH can only BD once a week, so I use temps and OPKs to catch that. Pointless to BD a week before or week after ov:o0 -

Yes, tests have been done on both of them and there's nothing wrong with either of them.
May I ask what BD means?
