    Great news Lobster.

OH had great results when he had his SA & the tests just showed blocked tubes. When I had the lap it showed a bit of endometriosis.

Have felt rubbish with period pains all day. Sometimes it's rubbish being a woman !

fingers crossed for you both QQ and Juju reall hoping things go well for you both:) xxx

Lobster what a lovely story :), if you don't mind me asking what is your blood clotting problem, as i have had 3 m/c and now have been diagnosed with Lupus anticoagulant, which as well as causing m/c seems to cause a lot of other health problems (i have been googling too much whilst waiting to see the doc :o) i was just wondering if you have something similar, and if there is any hope

I appreciate what you're getting at ttc40, however, just as there are other things in my life which are good, there are also other things in my life that make me (& DH) dread Christmas - this year in particular. Acknowledging that fact doesn't make me less of a positively outlooking person, as a prospective parent or not.

With respect to Christmas, I'm not dreading all of it - looking forward to some of it!

And don't get me wrong, I like my SIL, I do. (In her non-pg state).

But I'm just trying (and failing) to imagine how I can fake cheer for 3 days sat around the table staring at her humungous bump while everyone waits attendance on her...and all the talk surrounds imminent arrival...bitter? Just a tad! (Her firstborn is still a little baby - it's queue-jumping, of the most blatant kind.)

    I'll bring a bottle I guess!

Back from a 5 minute appointment with FS (plus an hour to travel and 15 mins late going in).

He has said to go back in 3 months if not pg and he will give me some fertility medication. He suggested 'being active' from CD11 to CD15. Despite being 41, it did make me smirk :).

Wow, long way to go for 5 minutes, but did it reassure you? Did he say what fertility medications?

    Congratulations Lobster, btw :)

He did say, but I didn't quite hear! I assume it was Clomid or something similar. He said it gives a 10% chance of twins (too scary to think of). A couple at work have just announced they are having twins at Christmas - don't know if it's natural or with a bit of help.

I think she's probably a similar age to me, so wouldn't be surprised if there has been some help - lovely news - BOGOF!

The hospital is probably only about 10 miles away but with the evening traffic it took 30 mins each way. I'm sure I'll have another moan when I get a £90 bill for the 5 minutes - LOL!

Hi, When I get home I will come back on here and write down exactly what it is, but basically I have been told that I have a mutant gene that can cause me to have a blood clot so I now have to take an asprin every day for the rest of my life and wear flight socks - sexy hey! My consultant told me that without taking clexane to thin my blood during my pregnancy the baby will die as it will not have enough blood supply to it.

Jujugaboo - I am 33 now and we had been trying for six long years. The maximum number of eggs I have ever had is 3.

I had to have at least 80g of protein a day. It is an awful lot to consume and I put on two stone. I started it in January and she said that to make any difference to your eggs you need to do it for a least 3 months before IVF treatment. I also was told not to have wheat or sugar. I then in additional to the 80g of protein a day I had to have those horrible whey protein drinks a month before starting treatment.

I don't know what did the trick all the supplements I was taking, the high protein diet, the different drugs or the timing of egg collection, but what I do know is that something worked and we consider ourselves extremely lucky.

I have to take aspirin every day of my life too., and a daily double dose of Clexane while I'm pregnant. Good luck lobster.

I am not sure whether my queasiness today is actually morning sickness or just scaredness at the thought of my scan later. Whatever it is, I wish it would go away. Mr 999 was insistent last night that this scan is going to be good. I wish I could share his confidence :(
