    Evening all.

    Been lurking from a distance, am thinking of everyone with positives and negatives going on.

    I had a follow up appt with consultant on thurs, thinking it would just be an oh dear it hadn't happened again we'll get you back in. But he was brilliant. I have only ever had the long protocol with our treatment but he mentioned we could do a short protocol or shorter long protocol. Basically I've been having down reg meds at day 21 then having stims from day 1. Well now apparently I can start down reg on day 1 then stims on day 14. Making it a quicker process. This all sounds good but I need to get to day 1 and currently on day 40. 😞 so now have meds which will make me start my next cycle in 10 days or so. But there is light at the end of the tunnel for the next treatment.

    Hugs to all that need them.

    Feeling a bit blue today:(

    Had it not been mild stim IVF, I'd suspect OHSS, but it's highly improbable. Didn't even use HCG.

    It's my 4th EC with the same protocol. Never had OHSS here.
    Had one when I was on short protocol at another clinic.

    Could be just upset tummy:o I'm taking (same) antibiotics, so that should help too.

    Last time I had OHSS, I just had to take it easy, and watch what I eat, so if I follow that, it should go away by itself.

    Not like you to be down Q.

    Hope you find something to make you feel better - is OH around at the moment?

    AFM, just bored as I get to end of 2ww. Usual tender boobs feeling so AF expected in a few days.

    OH may be working away when I next ov - argh! Will have to see if we can meet up (probably means me travelling for a BD!)

    Hello! Just checking in - not dead yet! (Still infertile though..!)

    ++++++

    Congrats to BFPs!!

    ++++++++

    Sorry you are feeling a bit down QQ - I hope your saga comes to an end by Christmas, I really do. So much effort, isn't it? So unfair that some people can do little more than click their fingers (and have sex..) and that's all it takes when the rest of us have to half kill ourselves.

    I'm dreading Christmas already (yes, I know it's July!), because I will have to spend it in the company of SIL who will be 9 mths pg by then. Oh well, I will just have to sit and slowly neck the sloe gin that's been maturing since last autumn..might have to buy myself something nice too. Whatever it takes..
    ______

    I am half-way through last cycle of ov induction - it all looks good, as ever. Just never seems to result in a pg!

    Have a good week everyone, or as good as you can in the circs.

    Ladies, please don't dread something that's 5 months away.

    I know we are all on this thread because we share the same desire to have a baby, but remember there must be other things in our life which are good too - when we do have our baby, we want them to have a positive outlook on life - let's start with us.

    Morning all. Hugs to QQ and BZ and chickpea and all others needing them.

    Well, I am six weeks pg tomorrow and have my first scan on Thurs. I've got that horrid thing where I know that 6+2 is quite early to see a heartbeat so we might not, but if we don't I will feel terrible and like the recurrent miscarriage thing is all happening over again. This pregnancy does feel diffeernt from the others but of course I don't know whether that's just down to the drugs, or whether we really have cracked it this time. I met some 'pred ladies' at the weekend whom I found on a thread on mumsnet, who have the same consultant as me. One of them is having her baby by C section tomorrow! And the other is 25 weeks pregnant. Both had had multiple miscarraiges like me. So it was really cheering to see that the treatment does work. Just hope it works for me and that the foetus is a healthy one. Sorry to ramble. Just trying to deal with the mentalling, whcih is a bit viscious this morning.
