    Hey Ladies,

Hope I don't offend anyone with this post but after you were all so amazingly supportive to me when we had our miscarriage in April, I just wanted to pop back in to let you know that we got another BFP last week. We are feeling very, very apprehensive about this pregnancy and I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the next 8 weeks without worrying myself to death.

So pleased to hear Somnium and FairyElephants news and I have my fingers crossed that everything will work out for you both. Also very pleased to see Nottslass' BFP seems to be good & sticky.

Sorry to hear about the swine flu Ginvzt (loads of people at OH's work have it & apparently were on Sky news last night!) - hope you're better in time for monday.

I was wondering if AnnieM was ok - she had a mc at the same time as me - but I haven't seen her post recently?

Fingers crossed for everyone receiving treatment & waiting for that elusive BFP.

    A.x

Wow another BFP :j we seem to be having quite a good run at the moment.

Wishing you a very happy & healthy 9 months, please keep us updated -it gives hope to anyone in a similar situation.

    Take care

FE and Somnimum it's lovely to hear your posts. As the others said it brings a tear to my eye too, we all know how hard it has been for you to get there and can only imagine the absoloute joy (coupled with worry of course!) that you are feeling now. Keep us posted.

Hi there, and congratulations to those with the good news!

Well, I went to the GP yesterday and she also thought my treatment at the hospital was pretty rubbish. I gave her the handwritten note explaining the scan results, which she also couldn't read properly. She called the hospital to get clarification but couldn't get through, so it's not clear if they saw evidence of PCOS, or just threw it in in passing!

Anyway, I felt much better when she explained it a bit to me. And of course at the hospital they did definitely say everything looked fine and normal. She said I might have mild PCOS because of my long cycle, but I haven't got any of the other symptoms. Getting pregnant might be slightly harder as I ovulate less often and not exactly like clockwork.
So the plan is to wait 10 days and if my period doesn't come, do a pregnancy test. If it's negative, then I'll think about taking some hormones to get my cycle going.

.....or maybe wait some more.... And I'm definitely on own-brand 2-for-the-price-of-1 pregnancy tests by now.....

Alex, that sounds like more positive news to me, I'm glad your GP was more helpful and fingers crossed AF doesn't turn up for all the right reasons!

I bought the 2-pack of FR tests on buy one get one free in Boots, just waiting for the next need to use one...

I thought I'd just pop in. I haven't posted here before but have lurked on the ttc threads. We started ttc in Feb 08 after my friend's husband died unexpectedly and we realised that we shouldn't wait until the perfect lifestyle.

I got my BFP on 1st July! I'm mid-thirties and DH is late twenties. (I have a DS who is 13 this year). Although age-wise I probably could have got referred for investigations, DH didn't want to try IVF, so together we decided if it didn't happen naturally then that would be that. So, we don't know why it took so long to 'catch'. I've been a lot luckier than most of you as this is only the second time I've ever been pregnant (touch wood), so haven't had the heartache of mc. I did get quite tearful at each AF, and really had begun to think that it wouldn't happen.

I really hope that each and every one of you gets your wishes granted x
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
